About Me
Hello, I'm Julie, I'm married and live with my Husband and two children in Nine Elms, Swindon. I am Mum to a Daughter aged 19 and a Son aged 16 (also DBS checked) and have enjoyed being a stay a home Mum looking after my two children's needs for the past 19 years. When they are both went to school full time, I missed having them around during the day and my (working) priorities changed - Prior to having a family I had always worked in the Finance/Customer Service industry and really didn't relish the thought of going back to dealing with the Mr Angry's of the world, especially as (although demanding of your time) the rewards of bringing up children (for me anyway) has far outweighed anything I ever achieved in the office environment.
My Experience
Having my own children and building a good network of 'mum' friends has given me a wealth of experience, knowledge & confidence to help in raising two healthy, well mannered, well balanced children.
With no family support here in Swindon, I have had to find my own way - so when my Daughter started Pre-school at aged 2 - I volunteered within the Preschool as a Parent Helper each week. I also joined the parent run commitee and became ChairPerson of the committee, helping put together policies to be adhered to, doing staff appraisals and ensuring the groups finances balanced, as well as being part of the day to day running of the preschool and the children in it for about 5years.
This in itself gave me a huge boost and I learnt so much about children's development and gave my a new path to follow....
My Qualifications
Having done so much of the background work on a volunteer basis within the preschool I decided to follow my heart and change my career path - so I took on the NVQ2 in Childcare & Development and haven't stopped learning since.
My Availability
I completed the pre-registration course for Childminding and here I am...
I am OFSTED registered and a member of Pacey(previously NCMA).
Hold a First Aid Certificate, all House, Car & Public Liability Insurances and ICO Data Protection Registration and Child Safe Guarding are in force and up to date.
Opening hours Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm (No Bank Holidays) 48weeks per year
