Practically perfect in every way

Cheryl is an amazing childminder who really gets to know you and your child. This isn’t just a job to her - it’s a way of being. She clearly adores every child in her care, and I know my son has loved every second spent with her.
My son started with Cheryl just under 1 year, and is now nearly 2. Throughout, Cheryl has been responsive and answered any developmental or other questions with authority and insight. She absolutely knows her stuff - and is so friendly and approachable, I would ask her a lot! I also really appreciated the regular photos, videos and updates during the day, and I will cherish many of these for years to come.
We’ve moved away, and leaving Cheryl was one of the hardest parts of the move.
If you want first class childcare in a loving, supportive, family environment: Cheryl is perfect.

Fantastic childminder, will be sorely missed

Our little boy has been with Cheryl since he was 18 months old, leaving this year to make the big step up to pre-school at the age of 3. He has come so far in his development, behaviour and social skills from being with Cheryl - she is fantastic with children, and shows us daily what progress he is making in a carefully handwritten diary as well as doing termly progress updates.

They all get up to so many great activities together and we have loved receiving photos throughout the day of our little boy. Anything we ask she is always responsive and no question is too silly or too small.

She has helped with potty training, eating and also with general advice based on her many years of experience. Her methods of ensuring good behaviour are great and respect the child as well as helping them understand why it's wrong.

Our little boy is always in such a good routine from her and she encourages naps in a supportive and caring way, so that he is still reliably napping at 3.

We will miss Cheryl, and I know Gregory will too, but we hope to stay in touch!

Thank you, Tania. We are gradually adjusting to missing our little man. The other children are beginning to understand that he has moved on, but I’m sure they’ll keep asking after him for a long while yet. Good luck for your new routines next month.

A wonderful, kind lady, who we will really miss!!

My daughter Isla was extremely shy and we soon realised nursery wasn't for her. I was very nervous about moving her to a childminder but I have to say as soon as I met Cheryl I knew Isla would be ok and actually more than ok, she flourished.

Cheryl is a true gem and really understood Isla's personality and needs very quickly. She also understood our worries from nursery and made sure we were sent regular updates and provided a lovely book of the things she got up to and learnt in the day.

A wonderful, kind lady who taught Isla so much and who we will really miss!!
