Barbara Rowden Childminding in Catterick Garrison offers a friendly, safe and secure surrounding for the children I care for - like home from home. I am OFSTED registered.
Some of the activities we might find ourselves doing during the day include arts and crafts, baking, reading, singing, dancing, colouring, messy play and going to our children's allotment. I like to take the children on regular outings to the park, woodland walks and walks in the pushchair for the ones that aren't walking yet.
All children will be offered an equal opportunity to fulfil their own potential. This will be done through providing activities appropriate to each child's age and individual needs. All activities are carefully planned around each child’s different needs, but they will also get the opportunity to explore new ideas and adventures.
I am happy to take on children with special needs or disabilities. Although I have no experience in these matters I am willing to do extra training if necessary. I have attended an autism awareness course.
As a mother of two young children I understand the needs of children and also the needs of parents too.
I have been an OFSTED registered childminder since January 2012. I completed my level 3 in childcare in December 2014. Apart from caring for my own children, since becoming registered I have cared for a variety of ages, ranging from 6 months onwards.
