Fully qualified with a NVQ level 3 in childcare and a Diploma of higher education in Support Learning and Development. I have a chartered educator status which helps the children with their learning and development.
I have completed part 1,2,3 & 4 in Makaton I now implement these new signs i have learnt with all children in my care.
I have 2 grown up children age 31 and 25 I am married for 31 years.
I have been working with children for 22 years. I would now like to take my career into a different direction working as a nanny or a childminding assistant.
The children will socialize with other children throughout the day, I shall take them to toddler group’s, soft play area's, the beach, museums, farms, ferry, parks, there is absolutely loads of different places we can visit.
Children will be encouraged to be independent in my care.. all personal care is encouraged Eg, toileting, washing hands, putting coats on, zipping coats up etc..
I will also encourage the children to share, take turns, tidy up after themselves and using their manners, please, thank you, pardon me, excuse me. Also to be respectful when out in the community when visiting toddler groups, soft play or any outing that we venture on.
This is all part of growing up, being a good role model can instill a good starting point in a young child's life.
Experience of children with allergies eg... diary, egg and nut allergies.
I have a 7 seater car which I ferry the children about in.
I have business insurance for my car which enables me to take the children out.
My Experience
I am fully qualified with a NVQ level 3 in childcare learning and development, diploma of higher education and chartered educator status along with numerous training courses Eg, Paediatric first aid, Safeguarding and Makaton training along with many more course I've attended.

Joanne from the start has been the most caring, helpful and informative childminder.
My little girl started at 9 months and as first time parents we were extremely nervous leaving her, Joanne made us feel so at ease and kept us informed of how she was settling. Their home away from home setting made me and my partner feel so confident in leaving our daughter in such a happy welcoming environment.
Our girl has come on leaps and bounds since starting with Joanne and is constantly learning and showing us new things picked up from her time with Joanne. She is kept busy, entertained and happy with the constant activities which include toddler learning groups and soft play! She loves it that much she doesn’t want to leave at pick up time!
I would highly recommend Joanne’s to anyone and everyone! She truly is one of the best childminders around.

Joanne and Liam are truly outstanding childminders who provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment. From the very beginning, they have made us feel completely at ease, creating a home-from-home setting where children feel safe, happy, and valued. Their kindness, patience, and dedication are evident in everything they do, and it’s clear that they genuinely love working with children.
Every day is filled with fun and enriching activities, whether it’s outdoor play, arts and crafts, storytime, or educational games. They strike the perfect balance between structure and free play, helping to build confidence, independence, and social skills. It’s wonderful to see how much the children learn and develop under their care.
One of the things that stands out most is the fantastic communication. We receive regular updates, photos, and messages, giving us a real insight into what the children are up to during the day. It’s so reassuring to know they are not only well cared for but also truly enjoying themselves.
Joanne and Liam go above and beyond to create a supportive and loving atmosphere, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found them. We can’t recommend them highly enough.

Our daughter has been with Joanne and Liam for over a year now, since she was 11 months old and we could not fault their care! I was a very anxious parent when first leaving my daughter due to an awful experience at a nursery but Joanne listened to my concerns and talked me through her policies and procedures and answered any questions I had. To begin with we had lots of updates via WhatsApp about our daughter to ease any anxieties and now fast forward over 12 months I can still contact Joanne at any time of the day and receive photos and updates. Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds with Joanne and Liam and actually cries when we pick her back up after spending the day in their care. Joanne has never once broken any promise she has made to us and I can fully trust that my child is being looked after and cared for just as she would be at home. Joanne has always been open and honest with us too about any concerns or issues she has which reiterates her trustworthiness. We provide our own packed lunch as this is Joanne’s policy, which she fully explained when first visiting, and works perfectly for us as we are able to provide our child’s favourite foods that we know they will eat. She attends several different toddler groups a week and makes regular trips to parks, soft plays and adventure parks. Overall, we genuinely don’t know what we would do without the care and support both Joanne and Liam offer not only to our daughter but also us as a family as our daughter loves them just as much as we do!
