About Me

****AVAILABLE NOW***

***Looking for lovely family in need of a very experienced nanny - I have been with my current family for 11yrs! It is finally time for me to fly the nest as I’m just not needed anymore. I am very sad to be leaving but also excited to start my next journey***

I am currently nannying for a lovely family in Teddington. I have been with this family for nearly 11yrs & have become an honorary member of the family :) they have an 14yr old daughter who I have nannied for since she was 3 & a 7yr old son who I have cared for since birth & sole cared for since he was approx 8 months old.

I am a caring and loving nanny with lots of patience, which I know is a must when looking after young children! I love the outdoors, reading, animals (I have 4 dogs!). I have always loved children, I’m gentle and approachable and have always found that children loved me too. I have experience with babies, toddlers, pre-school and twins.

My Experience

UPDATED

I left school in 2005 and started work at a nursery in Hampton, in this role I assisted the Nursery Manager in the day to day running of the Nursery, which includes development of childrens physical, social and emotional well-being, feeding the babies which are from ages 3 months up until pre school age, answering the telephone, filing, showing potential parents around the nursery, helping with enquiries and general activities involved in Nursery care.
I left the nursery after 14 months as I felt I wanted to try my hand at nannying so I started work with a lovely family in Teddington. During my 7 months of working with this family I looked after two children, 3 years and 15 months.
Daily activities were cooking, morning and sometimes also afternoon outings and general nursery duties in which we incorporated into our routine.
I also assisted the parents in feeding, making bottles, general play, bath times and helping to get the children to sleep.
During my time with this family is when I finally became NVQ 2 qualified in childrens learning and development and gained my first aid certificate.
In August 2007 I then started work with a new family, when I first started this job it was a nanny share position with another little boy, at the time both children were 3 years old. Unfortunately in February 2009 I stopped looking after the boy but have remained close with the family. My duties with this family include school pick up, dinner and bath time. In between we take trips to the park and local library plus any creative and craft activities that we can cram into our afternoon! During school holidays I work full time with this family which allows us to do a lot more, including visits to farms, kew gardens, snakes and ladders and whatever else takes our fancy!

2015 - 8yrs down the line I am still with this lovely family, in 2011 they had a son & I started working full time from September 2011. I became the little ones full time nanny when he was approx 8 months old, however I did care for him alongside Mum regularly from newborn. I have loved being a part of this little boys life & 4yrs on we still have a great, loving relationship. His sister is now 11 & will be attending secondary school in September, all very emotional considering I've been her nanny since she was 3!
From January - July 2011 whilst my main employer was on maternity leave I had a temp job looking after a wonderful little 1yr old girl. Once my contract was over I remained very close with the family & started working Friday's for them & then eventually after school care. This family had a second child in 2015 & my current job became a nanny share. I looked after their daughters (8 & 3) for 2yrs. We are still very close.
