My Experience

I have over 14 years experience with children from 3 months till 13 years, excellent references, my own transport (clean driving licence) and I also have CRB from England and Spain (translation from de embassy of Spain in London)

I worked as an Au Pair for one year and a half. At the same time, I worked doing babysitting with different families. After I registered with Ofsted and I got my qualifications, I started to work as a home childcare for 2 girls, picking them up from school, preparing snacks, helping with homework, preparing dinners and getting ready for bed. Unfortunately my contract with this family finished due to the girls didn´t need a nanny anymore. After this family I started to work with a family with a girl 6 years old, Monday to Friday during 6 years(my contract ended as the family didn't need me anymore)I would normally do dropping off and picking up from school (if the child was unwell look after her at home or pick her up from school if needed) we did a lot of differents activities in the afternoon and summer holidays e.g local library for reading and some light spanish lessons, swimming, cooking (flapjacks, cupcakes, fruits kebabs..) knitting groups... I also took care that she did her homework, I prepared snacks and dinner and helped her get ready for bed. During this years I also started to work with another family ( 6 months girl and 16 months boy) over the weekends, as living in nanny. I had full responsibility for all the children care from meals, baths, care if unwell, to entertainment activities. When my time with these families finished, I went to work in a bilingual nursery where I got my level 3 qualifications in childcare. This opportunity helped me gain so much experience and knowledge in EYFS, safeguarding, and learned about the curiosity approach of teaching. As part of my duties, I worked in all different rooms: baby room, toddlers, and preschool. I also was a key person for numerous children , working very close with parents and enjoying teaching Spanish whilst playing and doing different activities.

I also worked doing babysitting on the weekends evenings, e.g, parents went out for a romantic dinner or a party, respite care, holidays babysitting abroad...
