I am from America, but moved to the UK 12 years ago. I have been working with children for over 15 years. I studied Early Childhood Education at university and was a nursery teacher for 4 years before I moved here.
At the moment I am working part time (term time only) as a house manager/PA for a family that I have been with for 10 years. I previously worked for them as a full time nanny when their children were younger.
I am currently looking for part time HALF TERM and year round FRIDAY role.
My Experience
I have been looking after children ages 0-17 over fifteen years. I have worked primarily with one particular family (twins age 9 and a 7 year old) who I started with when the twins were 3 and the younger daughter was 1. Before I moved here I was also working with a family of 4. Since moving here, I have worked with two different families, one for a little over a year and my last family for ten years.
I studied Early Childhood Education at University and have worked as a nursery teacher in the US. I have taken classes in child development as well as child health, safety and nutrition
In previous rolls I've potty trained, Done overnights, Cooked nutritious meals, Done child related cleaning duties, Taken children to and from school etc.
Managed household day to day tasks; liaising with builders, cleaners etc, returning packages, wrapping presents, restocking household items, ordering food shops, arranging doctors/dentist/vet appointments.
I am a UK resident and hold a valid, full UK license with own car.
