Our whole family adores Karen. She has taken tremendous care of our daughter, Ellie, for the last 3 years. Ellie started at 8 months and will be going to a preschool in September (about to turn 4). With Karen’s love, attention and education she is taking her next early development steps a confident, kind and enthusiastic child. We couldn’t be happier with our experience in Karen’s setting and intend to send Ellie back to Karen during the school holidays to maintain the relationship her and Ellie have (I have to admit I love her as much as Ellie!) Ellie has even suggested that Karen should have sleepovers at our house so they can stay friends!

The setting:
Karen has a warm and inviting setting with all the tools to entertain and educate. The kids are engaged in fun activities every day. They attend playgroups and go on outdoor adventures at the park/in the woods etc too. Karen’s family are all very friendly and great with the kids too.
The days are structured well and encourage healthy behaviours.
Karen is a huge help with key developmental steps. For us this was potty training and the removal of naps. She is adaptable and will continue whatever approach you are using.

Communication:
Karen is incredibly communicative and transparent. Her pay structure is clear and she was a huge help in letting us know what to do to get our 15hour funding.
She sends daily updates with pictures and always lets us know what Ellie has eaten and any issues or moments to be proud of.

Education:
Ellie has developed beyond our expectations in Karen’s care. From her early motor skills to more advanced education. Ellie is heading to preschool with the ability to recognise letters, numbers, shapes and some words. She can write her name as well as mum, can count to 30 and do basic math (addition/subtraction). The education elements of her day are always fun and Ellie is always very excited to share what she’s learned.
The kids celebrate occasions of all faiths and none to help them understand, empathise and appreciate diversity.

We highly recommend Karen to give kids a great start to their early development. We are incredibly sad to be leaving and as I’ve told Karen numerous times, we would happily have her in charge of Ellie’s education through to adulthood if we could!
