Mick and I are experienced Registered Childminders, with 4 outstanding grading from Ofsted and childcare qualifications. We are passionate about our role as Early Years carers and providers of education. Our aim is to provide a homely and loving environment that inspires children to learn through play, both indoors and out. The children that enter our home become a part of our extended family and benefit from continuity of care, promoting secure attachments. They form relationships with a small group of children.
The recent COVID outbreak has required us to reflect upon our practice and make changes moving forward to protect the children we care for, their families and ours. We have a strict sickness policy in place and vigorous cleaning schedule daily!
Our home and garden is filled with child friendly and educational resources. Children are encouraged to explore and learn through play. We feel it is especially important to work in close partnership with parents. Keeping them in the loop with the all areas of development, physically socially and educationally and we work together to help the child develop further.
We offer home cooked meals and snacks inclusive in our daily fee, however we may ask parents for assistance with allergies or alternative dietary needs
In light of the current pandemic we do not share care with other settings (preschools or nurseries). Once the child joins our setting, they become part of our small bubble and this reduces the risk of infection spreading across settings. However, We offer the 2, 3-4-year-old funded hours, so children can access their preschool education with us.

My son has been at PlayfulMinds for just over a year. Sally and Mick are absolutely amazing childminders. I would recommend them to anyone. I work full time and they were able to accommodate slight variations with timing.
The children are always busy and kept stimulated. They attend groups on a weekly basis, visits to local parks and attractions also happen regularly.
I'm kept updated on my sons progress and they produce very usable learning journals and loads of photos of what he gets up to when I'm not there.
He loves going to Sally and Mick's and there is a lovely group of children there. They are a fantastic team!!
