Our daughter has spent 2½ very happy years with Sophie, who is a wonderful childminder. Sophie not only provides a really loving and supporting environment for the children, but also a fantastic range of outdoor activities with plenty of time running around in the nearby park, 'helping' to grow vegetables or visits to nearby toddler groups and playcentres.
At home, Sophie has been great in coming up with fun activities that have really helped our daughter with things such as fine motor skills and basic pre-school learning. Plus fantastic food, dressing up, creativie play such as painting, as well as encouraging independence and an emphasis on learning things such as good manners and tidying up. There's also a nice range of ages, giving our daughter the chance to get used to being around children both younger and older than she is.
Sophie's communication has been great throughout, with regular updates and lovely photos of what our daughter has been up to.
Knowing that our daugher is being looked after by someone as caring as Sophie has been fantastic. We couldn't recommend her more highly.

Our 14-month-old started with Sophie in September and settled in super quickly - thanks largely to how calm and welcoming Sophie is. Our little one loves her time with her and the other children and always has loads of fun, with plenty of activities inside and out. We’ve been particularly impressed how well Sophie gives the children space to explore, enjoy and extend their play, it’s a creative environment. Meals are also great and we’ve never had any issues whatsoever.

Our daughter has been coming to Sophie full time since August 2019 and couldn't be happier. She knocks impatiently at the door in the morning and would happily stay all evening if she could. Knowing that she is so settled was a huge comfort as first time parents.
There are always lots of activities and toys on offer and the children go out to local parks and playgrounds often. Sophie has an allotment too which the children love! We get sent lots of photos and videos of our daughter and all she gets up to; she also has a 'learning journal' which documents the progress she's making in all aspects of her early years education and skills. Sophie cooks them delicious, varied and nutritious food and encourages good manners and independence when eating and tidying up.
Finally, Sophie is extremely flexible and accommodating which has been a great help.

Thank you for your lovely words! I love looking after your daughter, she is a total delight to look after!
Sophie looks after my 13 month old and I am very happy indeed. She is constantly out and about with the children at play groups, parks and off on day trips. She is incredibly flexible and very accommodating whenever I need some ad hoc care or to change my days.
Yes the house might be occasionally messy (with lots of toys!) - but priorities for me are a happy, well cared for child, which I have. As a new mum, I feel very reassured leaving my little one with her.
Odd to see a negative review on here. Does not in any way reflect my experiences with someone I find to be a caring, flexible and proactive childminder.

Very poor experience, Low emotional intelligence, Not every child is treat with the same unconditional positive regard, No confidentiality divulging personal information to the public. No structured learning. Blocked fire access, Recent Ofsted report is Inadequate !
No Ofsted number or supporting documentation is advertised.
