Hello my name is Rachel, I am 26 years old and live near Tonbridge. I am a qualified Primary School Teacher and have recently been travelling. Before this I spent a year in Australia where I worked at a childcare centre in Australia. I am friendly, hard working and enthusiastic with a strong commitment to working with children. I have a vast amount of experience working with children of different ages. Before working as a class teacher I worked with babies from 0-1 in a childcare setting as well as working at various children summer camps and in a nanny position. I hold a full drivers licence as well as a certificate in Paediatric First Aid and an up to date DBS certificate.
My Experience
I have extensive knowledge on child development from my degree as well as my PGCE and a vast amount of experience working with children of all ages. In previous jobs I have worked closely with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). My current job as a Primary School Teacher has given me a lot of experience with the National Curriculum as well as the ability to look after a class of 30 children. In addition to this I have experience working with young children with learning difficulties such as autism. I am very creative in my approach to teaching, I believe children learn in different ways and so alter my teaching style to meet pupils needs. I like to keep things fun and interactive to ensure my pupils are engaged and having fun while learning.
