Best childminder we could have hoped for

I feel extremely lucky to have met Theresa. She was childminder to my 1 year old son and 3 year old daughter in 2023 whilst they were going through the transition of moving house. Our whole family immediately warmed to her; she is incredibly kind and patient and it is clear that she loves looking after children. Theresa is very knowledgeable about Early Years education, having years of experience in a nursery setting, as a childminder, and as a mother and grandmother. She entertained them with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities and a seemingly endless range of creative projects. I would be very happy to speak directly with anyone thinking about entrusting her with the care of their child.

The best childminder in the world!!!

Theresa looked after our son at her home in Cardiff from when he just turned one until he was nearly three. Our daughter who is a few years older also sometimes joined him with Theresa on occasions such as in school holidays.

Since the very beginning I was delighted to have found Theresa- she is one in a million! She is kind and incredibly good at spending time with children on their own level. Her set up makes children she looks after feel like one of the family, our son has learnt so much from her, all through imaginative play with lovely toys, arts and crafts and music time, and time spent walking and chatting together. Both of my children looked forward to their time with Theresa- shouting “hurray” on Theresa days and running up her steps to start the day. On top of this kindness and talent in home education Theresa was also always very professional, paperwork was clear and she shared little summaries of their day with me plus photos at the end of each day.

I really cannot recommend Theresa highly enough, and am so grateful to her for the care she took with both of my children.

Out of this world childminder

Theresa is an amazing, kind, caring person. I couldn’t of even imagined of anyone being able to meet my expectations and standards of caring for my children (aged 1 and 4 when they started with Theresa) but Theresa went above and beyond caring and teaching my children and has such a lovely nature and nurture approach. I knew that they were in safe hands the moment I met her and her family. As all parents do, I was worried that the kids being so young would miss out on the home and mummy environment of things with me having to work full time (and daddy too). But it became a second home for my children and they love Theresa.

Theresa always had time for a good handover at pick up. Always at the end of a phone if I had any questions. Always gave nutritious food and drinks.

I honestly could not recommend her enough. With Theresa as your child’s childminder, you can go to work with peace of mind knowing they are in the best Kind hands.

Gentle, loving and patient childminder

Theresa cared for our youngest for three years, and I mean just that. Her kindness, patience and all round understanding of child development knows no bounds and our son thrived under her care. The space that she has for children is so thought out, providing children with age appropriate, stimulating yet fun activities. She taught my son so many key skills which have given him such a good grounding for starting school. We are so grateful that Theresa was a part of my son's life (and ours) for those three years and we miss her dearly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. Thank you so, so much Theresa for everything you have done for our family xxx

Amazing!

Could not praise this woman enough. My son came to theresa for about a year and a half, and has just finished as he’s now in nursery. She has so much patience, and my child is wild, I don’t know how but she always kept up with him! Always had his favorite things out for him when he’d come..he always had so much fun at Theresa’s house.
Always had amazing activities planned out for him, from baking to making dens, she was the best!
She treated him like one of her own, like family. I know that when I have more children that they will be returning to Theresa.

Gentle, kind and loving childminder!

We first found Theresa when our eldest son (L)was 2.5yrs old, he had been having a tough time adjusting to nursery despite being there since 9months old. On our first visit to Theresa my son fell absolutely in love with her and ever since then he always thoroughly enjoyed his time with her. When it was time for him to move onto school, we had welcomed our 2nd son and it was without question that he would be going to her when I returned to work. Theresa was fantastic in aiding us with such a huge transition and her approach to L was so loving and so caring that he has excelled in her care. Theresa has such a lovely approach and is very knowledgeable in child development that even on their "bad" days, she understands how it is all natural and a part of their development and instead of disciplining this behaviour she just works calmly and wonderfully with the child in a way that benefits. Our youngest (C, 1yrs old) really enjoys all the open ended resources and play opportunities that he gets with Theresa, she observes well what he enjoys and allows him to lead his own learning and investigations whilst providing a safe and secure environment. We are so grateful to have found Theresa and I couldn't recommend her enough to people! Thank you for all that you do xx

Wonderful childminder

Theresa was my daughter's childminder when she was 2-3 years old. My daughter loved her time with Theresa, and sometimes with some of her children, as she always planned a great range of fun activities, which aided in developing lots of skills and confidence. Theresa was fantastic at keeping my partner and me well updated on her progress with photos of activities and notes, as well as the more formal development update documents. Theresa is a lovely lady and listens and adapts to both the child's needs and parents input. The only reason we have not continued with Theresa is because she has moved from London to Wales! But my daughter is very much ready for nursery now, thanks to Theresa. We will miss her!
