Amazing childminder

We have been so lucky to find Elaine. Our little girl settled really well here from when she was just turning 1, I think the home setting and Elaine's style made it easier on her than a larger nursery would have been.
The variety of what they get up to in a day never fails to amaze me. Elaine is organised, energetic and kind. We have loved seeing how much our daughter has benefited from being around a small group of children of mixed ages. It's been great for her and the older children have surely helped with her language abilities as she is a right chatter! Lots of socialising with larger groups of the same age too due to the toddler groups Elaine takes her to to so it's really been the best of both worlds.
She gets plenty of fresh air, regular day trips and this can also be combined with quiet time in the house for indoor play, naps or horrible weather.
It makes such a different knowing how happy and well looked after our wee girl is. Elaine knows all the children she cares for so well and easily manages to build a strong bond with each of them. It's everything you would want from a childcare provider and I'm not surprised that she is usually booked out ages in advance.

Fantastic Childminder!

My husband and I first met Elaine in September 2017, just before we moved to South Queensferry and we liked her instantly. I was a little nervous dropping Barney off for the first time as he had never settled at nursery during the five months that he went there and did not like being left with anyone apart from his family, he had really bad separation anxiety. I really hoped it would be different with Elaine. Elaine understood my feelings and was very reassuring, she kept me informed throughout the day. Barney settled in one week and has been very happy since. When I drop Barney off he waves bye bye with as mile on his face as I rush out of the door.
I can highly recommend Elaine, she has been absolutely fantastic with Barney and I can see that she genuinely cares for him. Elaine plans various activities for the children and every day is fun and educational. The activities range from painting and reading to walks in the nearby country parks, as well as attending local toddler groups and just playing in the garden. I ask Barney every day whether he had fun today and he always says “yes”. Elaine has helped us with potty training, saying good bye to the bottles. She has contributed greatly to Barney’s development. I know when my son is in Elaine’s care he is in safe hand and very well looked after.
Would I recommend Elaine? Yes!! Absolutely, most definitely yes!!!
