When I returned to work last January I was really anxious about leaving my then 10 and a half month old daughter however Abby has been completely fantastic and from the beginning put my mind at ease and my daughter now 2 adores her days at cwtch!
Since day one Abby has been excellent and provided an environment which is caring, nurturing, fun, stimulating as well as having a focus on structure and early education. The setting itself is immaculate and extremely well resourced. Abby often takes the children out on trips to the local area- the libraries, parks, nature walks, the local museum etc.
We love receiving updates throughout the day via the famly app and I am always blown away by the Activities Abby organises. They follow themes often prompted by the children’s interests or global events and parents are encouraged to contribute towards these.
Abby is excellent at communicating with parents and supporting theindividual needs of children- I mentioned to Abby that I was working on developing two- word sentences with my daughter and the next week saw that they had activitied based upon building language skills and forming short sentences which has greatly improved my daughter’s abilities.
My daughter is thriving with Abby and is always so excited for her days at cwtch. We count our lucky stars we found Abby- our very own Miss Honey!

Many thanks for the review and kind words. I’m the lucky one to spend my days with the children. No one day is the same at Cwtch!
Here at Cwtch we have busy days filled with fun, bilingual, engaging educational activities designed to let the children play, have fun and learn at the same time.
We utilise many Montessori strategies to create independent children. For example they pour their own water into cups at snack time and tidy up the table when activities have come to an end.
We have a theme every few months with science and food being our most recent theme. Previously we focused on topics such as seasons, trees, in the garden and more. While enjoying our themes we ensure that individual child requirements with regards to development are met through individualised plans whether the at be learning to write their name, preparation for school to name a few.
Here at Cwtch we involve parents in all aspects of planning of themes and activities.
The children cannot wait to see what awaits them as they open the door to Cwtch.
Abby is the most fantastic childminder. When I moved to the area last year, all I was looking for was a childminder who would offer a safe and caring environment for my two year old. And then we found Abby who offers so much more than that! What Abby has created is more like a little pre-school than childcare.
Every day I am impressed by the activities she lines up for the kids. She has themes for each term and week, she takes them for days out and she will take the childrens' interests and build activities based around them. For example, when my daughter was in her unicorn phase Abby would use unicorns to help her count etc. When I told Abby my daughter was having trouble listening at home she added lots of listening games into their week.
As well as planned activities you can see Abby is very child-led too and has created a lovely welcoming environment full of toys for the kids to immerse themselves in.
Abby is great at communicating about your child's development and letting you know what they are enjoying learning so you can back it up at home. She uses an app called Famly to share pics throughout which is very reassuring and fun to receive.
My daughter absolutely adores Abby and all the other kids who attend. My daughter is now three years old and language (both Welsh and English) have improved dramatically as has her independence - she now loves to prepare her own snack and pour her own water. I really cannot recommend Abby enough. I feel very lucky that we found Cwtch Childcare.

Here at Cwtch we have processes and structures in place throughout the day for the children to become familiar with the school routine e.g. amser mat, amser snac, ac amser canu.
We keep busy throughout the day with various activities planned with a huge focus on child led activities and the idea of children being at the heart of all decisions at Cwtch. During the holidays the older children will look back at the Cwtch photo albums and plan what they would like to do during the next school holidays. Here at Cwtch we also ask for parent contributions with regards to themes and activities.
Here at Cwtch we plan activities to each child’s interests and hobbies as we believe that a child learns best when they are interested. Myself and the rest of the children love to learn about new themes or a new programme that a child is interested in.
The children at Cwtch are always engaged as we rotate toys and are often acquiring new resources and toys for all the children to enjoy.

I am very happy with the care that my daughters receive at Cwtch. My daughters are so lucky to get such wealth of expereinces and opportunities with Abi at Cwtch. They learn so much with Abi, in a fun and engaging way. We as parents are kept well informed throughout the day via the app, and it's great to see what they get up to. The girls are really happy there.
I would highly recommend Abi as a childminder. Diolch Abi.

My daughter has been with Abby for a few months now and she absolutely loves it!
The kids have so much fun, there are load of activities on a daily basis, Abby reads stories, they practice fine mother skills, sitting down listening, lots of play time, dancing and generally just having fun while doing all of the above.
I love the fact Abby uses Famly, an app created to get updates of your childs day from what they eat and drink, to how long they've slept, nappy changes and activities.
Abby is flexible with days, if you need an extra day she responds to messages right away, even with short notice!

I ensure all the children across the week develop a range of skills and a weekly plan, of activities covering the seven areas of the foundation phase, is shared with parents at the start of the week. We develop a range of skills in preparation for school and at the same time have lots of fun.
I believe communication with parents is very important and I share updates on a child’s day throughout the day.
I look forward to having lots of fun with all the children all the while developing our skills!

We have recently relocated back to the area and my youngest has settled so well at Cwtch childcare. The updates on the app are great with lots of pictures and activities putting my mind at rest at work. My eldest is looking forward to going in the summer holidays to join his sister. Nothing is too much trouble and communication is excellent.
Due to COVID I’m currently providing packed lunch everyday but Abby does fruit of the week to encourage healthy eating habits. Thank you Abby and Ellie

We cannot wait to welcome both your children to Cwtch during the summer holidays to continue the fun. Always lovely to see the smaller children with their older siblings during the holidays.
The children love fruit of the week , trying new and exciting fruit each week. Alongside this we encourage healthy lifestyles for the children through role play, communicating healthy food/ snack ideas and food related activities and play.

Well what can I say ! Apart from Abi is absolutely amazing with my baby son ( 6months old) and my daughter who is 5 years old.
I was very nervous leaving my son for the first time . Abi made me feel very relaxed about this ,she sends me hourly updates on the activities he participates in,including photographs, also his sleeping patterns. He had never been left with anyone up until now , so most importantly he is relaxed and has no problem in me handing him over in the mornings.
My 5 year old daughter who attends through the holidays also loves it in cwtch, she loves it so much that she doesn't want to leave come home time which says alot about how much fun she has here and also how good abi is with her.
As for the premises, very clean very safe and has a lovely warm homley feeling and a huge variety of toys and educational resources. As for abi herself, she is a very kind caring and honest lady who I trust 100% with my children and her communication skills are through the roof , couldn't ask for better.Cwtch childcare gets a 10/10 from me .

Abby has created a kind and supportive, family feel at Cwtch for my little boy. He loves going to Cwtch where he has so much fun as well as different educational learning experiences. Abby uses the famly app to communicate all the activities he gets up to, from going on walks, to learning new skills and having fun. Abby is a kind and supportive childminder who is always professional. I feel happy that he is safe and well cared for with Abby.

Abby is by far one of the best childminders I have ever come across, my son has been to a couple of other's and never settled as well as he has done at Cwtch. He has learnt so much since being there from writing his name, colours, shapes, songs, numbers amongst many other thing's. He is always well looked after and happy with Abby, I would recommend to absolutely anyone who is looking for childcare to send their child to Abby she is just amazing, I look forward to hearing all about my son's day when I pick him up from her 😊

When my daughter started going to Cwtch she was just a shy little girl. Abby`s got such a lovely manner with children, always kind, supportive and patient she helped my daughter thrive and develop into a confident little girl. I love that whatever the weather I know my baby can get the advantage of going to the toddler groups that I would like to take her, play outside and explore all exciting places like libraries and farms and so much more. Since my daughter`s been going to Cwtch I`ve seen such a big progress in her, she`s even trying to write her name, and she`s not even 3 yet and I would never even thought about that. Abby is always friendly, very professional and helpful. Cwtch is such a lovely place, it`s the best choice I could have made. My daughter adores Abby and she really feels a part of Cwtch family.

We wanted a childminder so our son had a home-from-home experience. With Cwtch he has that and so much more. Cwtch provides a structured and educational learning experience based around fun! Our little boy enjoys days out and going to play groups. A new learning topic every term provides a focus to his learning and his development is nurtured and encouraged. Quite frankly, I’m often jealous that he’s there without me!! To top it all off he gets to spend time with Abby’s children, who he adores!! Not just home-from-home but from our family to their family.
