Useful Documents for Childminders and Early Years providers

Childminder Paperwork > Useful Documents

The following guidance documents and forms will support you to manage your early years setting effectively. They are not statutory – they are provided for guidance. It is your choice whether you use them or not.

For example, you can make notes about fire practices in a diary, but some providers prefer to use a form; you are advised by Local Authority safeguarding trainers to record children’s existing injuries but this is not a requirement in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS, 2021).
