About Me
I am 32 years old and working full time for the Exucation Division in East Sussex. I was previously SENCo and Deputy Manager for a preschool, for 6 years. I have a kind, nurturing and empathetic nature with a hands on, fun approach to childcare.
I have experience with weaning, potty training, promoting positive behaviour, healthy nutrition and I have 7 years SEN experience. I am very familiar with the EYFS framework and I am happy to do all kinds of different activities with the children based on the 7 areas of children’s development. I also have a full clean driving license which I have held for 15 years.
I enjoy walking, camping, nature, horticultural, floristry, music, films, kayaking and travel in my spare time.
My Experience
I currently work for the Education Division, supporting families across East Sussex with SEN. I currently work here Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.
Previously I was Deputy Manager and SENCo for a local preschool and worked there for 6 years. I have worked with several additional needs children whilst in this role. I hold a Level 3 in Early Education, Level 3 Forest School Lead, Level 3 Wild Beach Lead, Level 3 SENco Award, I have Makaton training up to Level 4 and am currently studying for my BAHons in Child and Youth Studies.
I nannied for 1 year prior to the nursery for three boys ages 10, 4 and 1 in their home environment. I assisted in their home schooling, chaperoning and running them to clubs and tutors and also did light cooking and cleaning.
I have volunteer experience for girl guiding uk for 3 years attending weekly meetings, planning activities and attending trips away.
I also took 1month to volunteer at a childrens orphange in Nairobi, Kenya, bringing over donated resources and helping to teach which was extremely rewarding.
