I have an 7 year old girl.
I have worked in childcare since leaving school. I have worked in a variety of settings and have progressed from childcare apprentice to nursery manager. I have completed a variety of courses and I am always willing to learn and develop my knowledge further.
I am reliable, committed, organised, caring, calm, and patient. I am able to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children. I am able to think outside the box and I am confident in dealing with most situations in regards to childcare. .
My Experience
I have worked in a preschool attached to a school from June 2022 to February 2024, I had to leave to help my husband with our butchers shop , we are now in the position for me to go back into childcare. - I have been a nanny since September 2013, looking after two sets of girls for two different families, I love creating different play opportunities for the girls and trips out, I weekly took one set of the girls swimming at my parents pool. In June 2014 I changed families and looked after an 18 month old boy, we go to a variety of groups, we go swimming weekly and have playdates with other children. I worked for this family until the boy was 5 1/2 and the girl was 3 almost 4.
I have worked in a preschool, two nurseries, one of which had two out of school settings, two holiday clubs, one attached to nursery. My parents also look after children with additional needs one weekend a month to give their parents a break, I have an active role in this.
I have had a variety of different roles in these settings, including nursery assistant apprentice, nursery assistant, preschool assistant, room leader, room supervisor, deputy manager and manager. I also helped to set up a holiday club from scratch to conform with ofsted regulations.
My Qualifications
I have my nvq level 3 in children's care, learning and developing, level 3 in first line management, level 2 in food safety, paediatric first aid, safer recruitment and a few other courses.
