Welcome!
My name is Basia, and I am a fully registered Ofsted childminder offering a warm, safe, and nurturing “home from home” environment where children can feel happy, secure, and valued.
I provide high-quality childcare with a balanced routine that combines adult-led activities and child-initiated play, in line with the EYFS. Each day includes a mix of fun, learning, and exploration—from local playgroups, parks, and nature walks to creative activities like painting, music, messy play, and storytelling. I tailor all activities to each child’s individual interests and stage of development, encouraging confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
I live in Acton with my husband and our two daughters. Our home is close to local parks, libraries, and children’s centres, which we visit regularly to support social development and provide varied learning experiences. I also work closely with other childminders and professionals to enrich the children’s experiences.
I am fully trained in childcare, hold a current DBS check, public liability insurance, and keep all my training up to date. I follow all safeguarding, EYFS, and data protection requirements to ensure your child’s safety and wellbeing at all times.
I strongly believe that children learn best through play in a caring and stimulating environment. I promote inclusivity, diversity, and respect, helping children develop social skills, confidence, and a positive understanding of the world around them.

My Experience
I have been working as a childminder for 13 years and have also worked as a nanny.
In addition, I have first-hand experience as a parent to my own teenage daughters, which has helped me understand children at different ages and stages.
My Qualifications
As a childminder I am registered with Ofsted and adhere to the regulations.
I have completed a Local Authority approved training course and keep my knowledge up to date with regular refresher training. I regularly review the National Standards and update my setting’s policies, taking into account feedback from parents and children where possible.
I stay in touch with my local coordinator, the Council Early Years Team, and other childminders to keep up with any changes.

Basia is a very sweet person, very motherly, caring and kind. She is very nurturing and the children adore her. Basia looked after our daughter for a month on very short notice and we can not thank her enough. Our daughter loves her deeply and she was recommended to us by multiple sources in the area.
She invests a lot in the children she looks after. She gets to know them very well and encourages their different interests. I will definitely choose Basia again if I have another child.

For our child, Basia created a fun, calm, and creative atmosphere. Our child learned quickly from her and enjoyed going to her house each day. For us the parents, she was friendly, reliable, and incredibly helpful.

When looking for childcare upon going back to work, my husband and I were keen that our daughter was exposed to a stimulating, fun, loving ‘home-away-from-home’ environment. We have found exactly that with Basia and her family. Basia is an incredibly caring and patient individual. Our daughter clearly loves her time there. Every day is filled with an array of activities that not only enhance her development but are fun and engaging e.g. role play, sensory play, painting, singing, going to the park to name a few. Basia also ensures that our daughter has a varied and nutritious diet which gives me comfort going into the weekend when perhaps our standards miss the mark. As first time parents, Basia’s guidance and experience has been invaluable as well. We rely heavily on her from that perspective and she always makes time to help us navigate this new world. She is the most genuinely caring childminder we could imagine.
