About Me
Hi my name is Linda and I live with my husband Barry and two children Aaron 23 & Jamie 22. I have 2 other children a son called Rikki 32 who is married with a daughter himself and a daughter Megan 30 who is a fire fighter & a qualified nurse living in her own home. I also have two step children, Natasha & Craig who both have children of their own making me a step grandmother too! As you have probably gathered by now I have a great deal of experience with children of all ages! I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder and a member of PACEY. I am level 6 qualified holding a BA(Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies and hold a good grading with Ofsted with some outstanding features at my last inspection in March 2019. I am able to offer nursery education and claim the Government Nursery Funding for eligible 2 , 3 and 4 year olds. As a PACEY member I keep up-to -date with training and regulations set by Ofsted. I have been Childminding for 23 years now and find it very rewarding. I hold a full driving licence and my own car. I provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment for all the children in my care and care for children from birth onwards. I like to keep the children active & provide them with a variety of experiences. I take them out regularly to toddler groups, parks, play centres and places of interest.
My Experience
As a mum of 32 years and 23 years of Childminding I have a wealth of experience with children of all ages. I also have had experience with caring for children with additional needs and have cared for children from various ethnic backgrounds with their own individual needs too. I also helped out with the Cub Scouts in the past, that also adds to my experiences with children.
My Qualifications
My qualifications consist of: Level 6 BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years Studies. Level 5 Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies, NVQ level 3 and level 4 in Early Years Care & Education, CACHE Level 3 Chiildminding Practice, Level 3 Birth to Three Years, Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid, Eyfs (Early Years Foundation Stage) training, Food & Hygiene and a variety of short courses. I regularly update First Aid and Safeguarding training. I keep up to date with all aspects of Ofsted regulations and requirements through training that I access through PACEY, SFYC or Childcare services.
