As a parent, finding the right childcare setting for our child was an important decision, and I am delighted to share my positive experience with this wonderful family run establishment. From the very first visit, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere, warm approach and the professionalism of Alison and Marcia, and the genuine care shown towards all the children. This place built an amazing foundation of my sons early learning and emotional development.
The team, of now four wonderful ladies, consistently demonstrates exceptional dedication to ensuring all children safety, happiness, and engagement each day. Alison, Anj, Michelle and Amber are attentive, patient, and accessible, fostering a welcoming environment for both children and parents. I value the transparent communication and frequent updates regarding my child's progress and daily activities, as well as the experienced advice and recommendations provided for managing specific situations.
The activities provided are varied and thoughtfully planned, encouraging learning through play and creativity. My child has developed new skills, made friends, and grown in confidence since joining the setting. The outdoor play area is a particular favourite, offering plenty of opportunities for exploration and physical activity.
I am grateful for the nurturing environment and the dedicated team who make this childcare setting such a special place. I would highly recommend it to any parent seeking quality care and early years education for their child. Those ladies are more of a family to us now, than just a childminders! From day one it has been a home away from home for our little boy and us! I would recommend those ladies to anyone in a heartbeat!

5* Child care

From the moment my 2 year arrived at A & M we knew we had found somewhere special. This family run setting treats every child with genuine kindness and patience, my daughter settled instantly in their care. My child felt safe, loved and constantly engaged. Each day was filled was filled with creative activities, outdoor play and thoughtful learning moments. Throughout our time A & M we were kept updated with photos and text via an app. My daughter has now gone on to full time school and regularly talks about her time at A & M, she misses them greatly. I would highly recommend this setting to any family looking for high quality childcare with that family feeling.

The Kind of Care You Can’t Put a Price on

My son started with this wonderful team originally with Aunty Ali, Anj Anj and then Aunty Mich and Miss Amber when he was just 10 months old my youngest and the first of my children to attend childcare before their first birthday. After COVID, the nerves were real, but from the moment we stepped into their care, I knew we’d found something special.

Fast forward to now: he’s currently halfway through his first term in Reception, and he still talks about them every single day. In those first few weeks, he would wake up asking to go back that’s how deeply he was loved, and how securely he was held. These ladies have left an imprint that will stay with him for life, and I’ll make sure he never forgets them.

They’ve been the foundation of his early learning and emotional development nurturing him with patience, joy, and genuine love. Even on the challenging days, they met him with calm, compassion, and understanding. They didn’t just care for him as he was, they championed who he was becoming.

These ladies are more than childminders they are a village. There’s an old proverb that says, “I am because we are.” This setting is the perfect example of that truth. They are gold dust in CR7 truly raising children with invisible crowns, teaching them to walk with confidence, kindness, and a strong sense of self.

If my ovaries were still making demands (thankfully they’re not!), I’d bring every one of my children here without hesitation. Because this isn’t just childcare, it’s a calling, and the fruit of their labour will speak for generations.

The BEST childminders!

My daughter went to A&M and loved it! She started when she was 2 and as a pandemic baby I was concerned she wouldn't want to go. But from day 1 she went in and didn't look back! She looked forward to going everyday and she was right to because they provided a warm, loving, secure space which was like a home from home!
All the ladies there made sure she had everything she needed and provided her with incredible skills that gave her a head start before starting school. She loved planting strawberries, playing and painting. She refused to leave without giving every auntie a hug at the end of the day! At pick up I looked forward to my little update on her day. Although the photos in her diary online were updated regularly, with all the educational activities and fun trips they got to do, communication was great! A&M is such a wonderful environment I'm so glad I chose this loving caring setting and we still go and visit as she misses all the ladies to this day! I highly recommend A&M they really catered to my daughter's own individual needs and encouraged her to flourish, which she did! I was at ease knowing she was happy there and if I ever had another I'd definitely chose A&M again!

Warm, fun and full of love.

After searching around the area unsuccessfully for some time, a friend of ours recommend A and M childcare and we haven’t looked back.
Our son started there at 11 months old. Now almost 2, he can’t wait to get through their doors in the mornings.

It is like a mini family. The ladies there treat him like one of their own. They have also extended their love to my older child who doesn’t attend there but is with me in the evenings for pick ups!

Communication is impeccable. Through the digital care diary we are able to access daily updates on our sons day. There are also lots of pictures and videos! That said, they always have time to talk and answer any questions we may have.

We highly recommend A and M childcare. With them it is complete peace of mind.

A second family!

My daughter started at A&M childcare when she was just over a year old, having been with me and not many other adults due to the pandemic. I needn’t have worried because she has loved her time there. Communication is excellent. Photos and updates are sent throughout the day and any observations/concerns are promptly discussed. Alison, Marcia and Andrea care so much for the children they look after and it has definitely been a second home for my daughter. She has loved playing with her friends in a warm, enriching and purposeful environment designed to support learning and development.

A hidden gem

I have 2 boys currently with the lovely ladies at A&M. I moved my son who is almost 4 to them at 18 months after a short spell at a nursery, moving him was the best decision I have ever made! My now 1.5 year old son has been at A&M since he was 10 months old and I wouldn’t have considered any other option for him.

The beauty and uniqueness of A&M is that with the 3 ladies working together, the kids get the buzz of a nursery but the care of a family in a family home. And they truly are a kind, loving and caring family.

They use an online system to send through photos and videos of milestone moments which gave me comfort when my boys were still babies. They also do activities that just wouldn’t be possible at other settings, trips out to parks, children’s centres, rhyme time at the library, as well as such fun activities at the house like growing vegetables and baking. My boys absolutely love it there and are always in such a happy mood when we pick them up, and my eldest even eats broccoli now thanks to A&M : )

It’s a truly lovely place, with 3 incredibly kind and caring ladies who I absolutely trust with my life, and I feel incredibly lucky to have my boys cared for by A&M, it’s the best start for them I could ask for.

5 stars all round!

I would highly recommend A&M childcare.
My son has been attending since he was around 7 months. I was apprehensive about going back to work but the ladies at A&M made me feel at ease and where amazing with him. My son is now three and the highlight of his week is going to A&M, he absolutely loves it there. I particularly like the homely, family atmosphere at A&M and how they are so attentive to each of the children's needs. My son has learnt so much at A&M as he is always taking part in fun, educational activities which he really enjoys. The updates and communication from A&M has always been brilliant.

Best childminders around

A&M are a truly special family childminders. I have 2 children who have gone through them (one still there) and I can honestly say that both of them have thrived due to the care and attention they have been shown through the years. They clearly love the children very much and always go the extra mile. Our ‘parents evenings’ are incredibly detailed, you wouldn’t get that level of detail in a usual nursery. The setting is always clean and fresh and they have a lovely garden (with veg patch!) which the kids are always out in. We get regular pictures and updates about their activities and development. When my second son was 3 months old I had to work for a week and they kindly agreed to have him, I had no hesitation in sending him there for that time at that age - that’s how much I trust them. They practically potty trained my eldest son for us, which I am forever grateful for! They organise a graduation ceremony party every year for all the kids and those going to school, and have parties at every child’s birthday. They seem to be able to stretch the children’s skills and abilities in a personalised and individual way. These are just some of the ways they go above and beyond. Mostly they are caring and happy and clearly love what they do. I now have a third child and will certainly be sending her there too without a second thought. We live a little drive away and I looked for a childminder who was closer but no one compared to A&M so I make the effort to do the journey because really they are just fantastic!
