Set in the beautiful rolling Yorkshire hills, our Forest School offers a unique blend of outdoor adventure and nurturing care. Our space gives the children the freedom to learn, play, and grow through activities such as den building, crafts, and forest school activities. Our all-weather setting includes cosy indoor spaces for those wildest days, where little ones can enjoy crafts, soft play, and lots more.
Our team compromises of Amy who has over 16 years of experience as a childminder and 9 years as a nursery nurse before that. Amy brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to every child in her care. Amy has previously owned and managed a nursery, and has extensive experience supporting children with disabilities. Amy is fully qualified in Makaton, trained in supporting children with autism, and holds up-to-date certifications in first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding.
Nic is a newly qualified and enthusiastic childminder who brings both personal and professional experience to her role. As a mother of three, she has firsthand understanding of children's needs and development. In addition to her practical experience, Nic holds uptodate certifications in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding, ensuring a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for every child in her care.
We also have Tom and Josh, both highly experienced childminding assistants with over six years of hands-on experience working with children in a variety of settings. Their backgrounds include early years support, activity coordination, and one-to-one developmental care making them invaluable members of the team. Josh and Tom are both fully certified in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, and Safeguarding, demonstrating their commitment to providing a high standard of care and safety.
Together, this dedicated team offers a warm, engaging, and secure environment where children can thrive, learn and feel valued.
We are open all year round, Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 6:00pm offering flexible, experienced and enriching childcare in a truly inspiring setting.

Amy has looked after our child from 8 months (now 3.5 years) and we've never ever had any cause for concern.
Very professional and reliable - which is exactly what we needed as full time working parents.
Amy has created a home from home, family setting that is full of joy and happiness.
There is so much investment from Amy's side - both professionally and personally.
The children have fresh home cooked meals every day and go for days out such as Bolton Abbey and dancing classes. The children form special friendships and play with children younger and older

Amy took my little boy from 11 months old I was a worried parent with a little boy with allergies and asthma. Amy made me feel safe from day 1. Communication was perfect, care and control around his needs just brilliant. My little boy loves Amy days. He goes 5 days a week, she has loved and nurtured him and he has thrived. Her attention to early years excellence is outstanding. He is developing faster than age related expectations because of this. My boy is happy, he is safe and he is lucky to have had the love care and guidance that Amy has given. Thanks Amy I am a relaxed mummy because of you.

I have been with Amy now since my daughter was 5 months old. We have now just had a little boy who also will be starting with Amy in a week, full time. My daughter runs to the door in a morning and is saying Amy's name all the way there, she loves going, which I believe is a testament to the loving care and type of environment that they provide. I have loved seeing my daughter develop from all the games and activities that Amy does on a daily basis. All the additional help and support as well is amazing, with things like potty training can not go without being mentioned and she is always there to answer any questions you have.
My children are my world and I wouldn't leave them with anyone else now, I see it more like leaving them with a loving family member then a child care setting. I would, and do, recommend her to anyone that asks.
