About Me

My husband and I moved to the Pastures Estate in Narborough in May 2013 and welcomed our first son into the world in September of the same year. Our second son joined our family in January 2015 and our third son arrived in May 2020. We recently moved our family home and childminding setting to Croft.

For as long as I remember, I have wanted a career that involved working with children, however, the time never seemed right to leave my full time job to pursue the dream. The birth of my eldest son gave me the ideal opportunity to set up my own business as a child minder - I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute since!

Here at 'Elkie's Little Learners', I work to OFSTED's Early Years Framework and ensure your child is ready for school by learning through play. All of the activities I offer will be tailored to your child's individual likes and needs - thus ensuring they progress at a speed that works for them. You will receive regular updates about your child's development via an online system and I share photographs of the activities we enjoy (I never show the children's faces) via my closed social media group specifically for parents.

Our welcoming home has 'home from home' playroom which allows opportunity for lots of fun and engaging activities. The kitchen host's activities such as cooking and messy play. The rear garden is enclosed, offering a safe environment for outdoor fun. I will organise regular outings to groups, libraries, museums, farms and parks.

I am passionate about providing the type of service I would like to receive myself, and aim to make my home as welcoming as possible for all of the children in my care.
