About Me

I am Sophia, an Ofsted registered childminder based in the vibrant community of Brixton. With a passion for early childhood development, I provide exceptional care for children from 6 months to primary school age in a warm and nurturing environment.
With many years of experience in childcare, I am dedicated to supporting the growth and well-being of every child in my care. I hold relevant qualifications in early childhood education and am committed to continuous professional development to stay updated with best practices in childcare.

My home is equipped with child-friendly facilities and resources to create a safe, stimulating, and fun space for children to explore and learn.
Individualised Attention: With a low child-to-adult ratio, I provide personalised care and attention, ensuring each child's unique needs and interests are met.
I am committed to providing a fun, friendly and safe environment for the children in my care.
I endeavour to provide children with stimulating learning opportunities that reflect their age and stage of development through play and everyday experiences. I understand that each child is an individual and treat them with care, empathy and respect.

- Structured Daily Routine: A balanced mix of indoor and outdoor activities, including educational play, arts and crafts, storytelling, and outdoor adventures in nearby parks

-Weekly Spanish and French lessons : designed to foster language development from an early age, drawing on principles from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Learning new languages at a young age enhances cognitive abilities, improves memory, and fosters better problem-solving skills. Our approach integrates play-based learning, encouraging curiosity and confidence in communication through songs, stories, and interactive activities. These lessons not only help children develop listening and speaking skills in multiple languages but also promote cultural awareness, empathy, and social development, laying a strong foundation for future academic success.

- Healthy Meals and Snacks: Nutritious, home-cooked meals and snacks are provided, catering to any dietary requirements and preferences.

- Regular Progress Updates: I maintain open communication with parents, offering regular updates on their child's development and milestones.
I believe in working in partnership with parents; welcoming ideas and encouraging parents to provide me with comments and suggestions, we use Cradle app for daily diary and have set up WhatsApp groups with parents for effective communication.
I run my setting professionally, attending training opportunities, respecting confidentiality, keeping organised records in accordance with current guidelines.
I have clear policies and procedures; I am committed to providing a reliable service that parents can depend on and in which they can place their confidence.


**Opening Hours: **
My services are available Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with flexible hours to accommodate different schedules.
Conveniently located in Brixton, my home is easily accessible by public transport and offers a welcoming environment for children to thrive.
