About Me
Hi, I’m Mia (short for Miriam), I’m 32, and I’d describe myself as a warm, patient, and caring person with a big heart and a positive outlook on life. I absolutely love working with children, helping them learn, grow, and explore the world in their own way.
Building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families is very important to me. I always put my heart into what I do, creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where every child feels valued, understood, and supported.
I’m flexible and adapt easily to each family’s routines and needs. I enjoy planning creative and engaging activities - from arts and crafts and messy play to outdoor adventures, nature walks, and trips to playgroups, libraries, and parks. Watching children gain confidence as they try new things and explore their surroundings is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and friends, discovering new places, going to local gigs, or simply curling up with a good book or film.
My Experience
I have around fifteen years’ experience working with children of all ages. I’ve been a nanny and au pair, and I’ve worked nurseries and primary schools.
Over the years, I’ve also helped at Brownies and after-school clubs, and volunteered in different church settings, including creche, children’s church, and a weekly children’s club.
I’ve gained lots of experience from my own two children too, as well as supporting children with additional needs - especially Autism and Down’s syndrome. These experiences have taught me to be patient, understanding, and flexible, adapting to each child’s individual needs
My Qualifications
I’m dedicated to ongoing learning and development within childcare.
My relevant qualifications include:
• Various online training courses (CPD).
• Level 3 AIM Qualification in The Principles of Special Educational Needs
• NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges
• NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent
• Child Development
• Health and Social Care.

- Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
