About Me

Hello my name is Claire. I have been a registered childminder for 32 years. I offer a friendly, loving, family orientated setting. I am Ofsted registered and my last inspection was in 2019 and received a Good. My daughter and Son work alongside me who are both also Ofsted registered.

I cater for children from birth - 5 years in the day, and I also cater for children before and after school. The schools we cover are Whitestone Infant School and Chetwynd Junior School, I also do drop offs and pick ups from Stepping Stones Nursery.

I follow and deliver the early years foundation framework to the children. This includes carrying out planning and activities to help develop each child's learning. I understand that every child is unique and I continue to observe each child's development to plan for future steps.

We are all fully insured and all drive our own vehicles. We are also business insured, and provide suitable car seats for every child.

I live in a 3 bedroom detached house with a secure garden, which I provide suitable playing equipment for all ages. The children have free run of the downstairs of the house, the lounge which runs the length of the house, the conservatory, the kitchen, the dining room are all registered rooms with Ofsted, the bathroom which the children use and is registered is situated upstairs. The lounge is used for general play during the day this can range from instruments to role play (play kitchen/home area) to dancing and music, the conservatory is used for story time during the day and then activities such as lego, playmobile and connex for the after schoolers. The kitchen is used for snack time, lunch time and dinner time and also messy play such as painting, clay, gluing/sticking, baking etc. The dining room is used for non-messy art activities such as drawing, beading, hammer beads etc.

Overall I aim to offer children a caring, loving environment where they will be encouraged to learn and develop in their own way, and more importantly just have fun! If you would like to know more information, please feel free to contact me.
