My Summary
About Me
My name is Abbi and I live in Harefield with my husband and my 11 year old daughter and 20 year old son. We also have a bouncy 2 year old golden retriever.
I am a Ofsted registered childminder,have been CRB checked and hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate, I have also completed the Introduction to Childcare (homebased) course.
I have a welcoming home and offer a ‘home from home’ environment, with lots of themed activities & play planned throughout the day to stimulate the children and help them learn and progress through play (using the EYFS structure), we enjoy the outdoors and having adventures, also visiting the local parks, libraries, toddler groups etc.
Although i live in Harefield, My youngest child attends St Josephs Catholic school in Chalfont St Peter, so i am able to do school drop offs and pickups for that area too.
My Experience
I have been working as a childminder for the last 14 years and also have twenty years experience in bringing up my own children, i worked full time for the first 3 years of my sons life, so know how challenging it is to be a working parent whilst also ensuring your child is getting to experience everything they should at this stage of life. I have been very lucky to have had some wonderful children to care for who have become part of what we call our 'weekday family', and also forming lovely relationships with their parents.

My Availability
As of SEPTEMBER 2026 I will have the following availability
Mondays x 3 spaces
Tuesdays x 2 spaces
Wednesdays x 1 space
Thursdays - full (but do enquire if needed)
Fridays 2 spaces
Currently I have 1 space available on Monday and 1 space available on Friday until 5pm
I am generally open 7:30am - 5:30/6pm
Full and part time positions, pre school/school drop offs and pick ups to include after school care.
School and pre school runs (to and from St Josephs school based in Chalfont St Peter).
I offer funding and tax free childcare

Abbi looked after my son from 6 months old. I was worried about returning to work so soon but having Abbi as our childminder put me at ease straight away! She communicates with you so well throughout the days and i felt totally safe leaving him in her care.
Abbi spends a lot of time and thought in what activities she does with the kids and you can tell that this is a passion of hers, not just a job.
Her family are also lovely and her home set up is perfect.
My son still talks about Abbi even now still and we cannot recommend her enough.

Abbi has minded all of our 3 kids for the last 7 years and currently has my youngest boy .
We as a family are very lucky to have met this amazing , kind , caring , loving , professional woman .
I can’t thank her enough for all the wonderful time snd love she has given the children the last 7 years . Abbi & Richard’s house has such a lovely homely feel to it with a lovely back garden for the children to play in too.
Abbie sends me pictures weekly of my little boys outings and his progress etc . He is currently going through a difficult stage with speech / language and she has offered wonderful support with this . She does the most amazing arts /crafts / reading etc with him and he’s really reaping from this . Stuff i don’t always have time to do with him myself .
I can’t recommend Abbi strongly enough. Anyone that gets to have her as a childminder will be very lucky .

Abbi has cared for our 2 children for a number of years. She cares for our daughter before and after school and our son throughout the day and then helped transition him into preschool. Abbi and her family have been truly amazing to us. They are kind and caring and have included our children into their everyday family life. It is one of the reasons why they love being with her because it feels like a second home where they can be themselves, play and explore but also Abbi is always there when they need comfort and care. She provides themed play and engaging activities throughout the day to help the children develop and always sends regular updates on what the children have done. When my son joined her he wasn’t able to speak and had a slight delay, through her language rich environment and personalised care he is now on track with his speech and his vocabulary has grown massively. Everyday is a fun packed day where they would often go on adventures to local places. She has a great link childminder also which meant our son learnt to play in a bigger group of children. She was fantastic in including our daughter is the activities too. If they had done something in the day she would make sure she had a chance to engage in these too to continue on with her development through the EYFS. Abbi was there to give our daughter support and encouragement when settling her into school and personalised her care to ensure it was exactly what she needed to succeed. I can’t thank Abbi and her family enough for making sure that our children are loved and looked after in every way possible and providing a home that they love to go to.
