Until a couple of years ago Mechele had looked after my daughter since she was 3 months old .............. she is now 22! This in inself speaks volumes.
When we first found out Meg had additional needs finding someone suitable to take care of her whilst I was at work was a priority and we were so very very lucky to find Mechele. I became a single parent very early on and with no family living locally it was important to have someone who could not only take care of my child but also be someone that I could rely on 110% in times of need - going away with work at short notice, hanging onto her later than planned due to a meeting that ran over, even having her overnight when an emergency arose.
Mechele has never treated Meg any differently from any of the other children she cares for and Meg thrived in the homely atmosphere that was always full of other children, people and animals. Even when Meg grew older she still loved going to spend time at Mechele's house and playing with the other kids. She still visits even now!
One of the things I love about the service Mechele provides is the fact that she does lots of things with the kids, activities, games, trips to the park etc. They dont just sit around the house all day even though her ground floor is just one big play room.
I cannot recommend Mechele enough. Without her I dont know what I would have done and Meg, well Meg considers herself one of the family and as far as she's concerned Mechele's house is her other home.
