I believe that Dostoyevsky pinpoints exactly the reason I want to work with children. I maintain that children are the best people to be around and the best teachers in life, because of the purity and objectivity in which they see the world. Working with them allows you to return to that careless laughter and see the world with a positive eye. When I am around children, it feels like home.
I think that being a well organized individual and very punctual, I can help children grow in a fun but disciplined environment. A lover of books, music, good food and quality time, I believe that I can entertain and teach at the same time. I consider myself a trustworthy and understanding person and I believe children can find a friend in me, other than a nanny; one they will trust with their worries and problems, as well as someone they will be able to turn to, when needing advice.
Through my extensive experience as a EYFS teacher and a nanny, I expect children to do their best in what they chose as important, and I believe there are ways to bring that out in them. There is always a way, all you have to do is find it. In general, I believe that all people are equal but different, and it is my responsibility to develop a way to understand them and respect them for who they are. Individuality is an approach I promote in my social encounters, and I think that children should be encouraged to express theirs.
