I am a friendly, organised person who is committed to care and welfare of children.
I started my childcare career as a private nanny in 2014 caring for three boys, aged 18 months to 7 years old. I then moved to Wales where I took on a role as a private nanny for a lovely family caring for their 4 year old daughter. I also had various different babysitting roles throughout that time. I then decided to train as teaching assistant in Hereford, where I had a placement in a primary school in reception class.
I am currently studying Mental Health Nursing at the University of Gloucestershire. I’m hoping once I’ve qualified to combine my two passions, supporting children and adolescences with mental health illnesses.
I enjoy working with children and found my roles as a private nanny a privilege. As a child care provider, I make every effort to keep up with current training, including safeguarding and emergency first aid. I also pay to update my enhanced DBS (children and adult) every year. I am also insured on my car for business purposes.
Due to my studying and working for a lovey local family, I have limited availability to provide child care support. I am available for ad hoc evening and weekend babysitting. I also provide additional services such as cleaning, ironing, cooking and pet sitting. I am based in the Forest of Dean and happy to travel.
I am experienced hardworking nanny/mothers help, with over 5 years of childcare experience. I have a variety of practical child care experience which has enabled me to develop key skills:
* I have experience in working with infants from 1 year old, up to teenagers, 16 years old. I am able to think on my toes and work effectively with children of a range of ages and from different backgrounds.
*Experience of working within primary schools as a teaching assistant, which enables me to support children with homework and extra tuition alongside the national curriculum.
* I worked as a peer mentor and as a family support worker assisting teenagers (13 – 17) experiencing a range of problems, from mental health issues, confidence building and worries at home.
* I am confident in preparing fresh meals as well carrying out household tasks.
