About Me
Hello, my name is Georgie, and I provide a babysitting service in the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas. I would describe myself as a friendly, creative, and organised person who is committed to the care and welfare of children. I am currently studying Mental Health Nursing at Cardiff University. I’m hoping once I’ve qualified to combine my two passions, supporting children and adolescents with mental health illnesses.
I started my childcare career as a private nanny in 2014 caring for three boys, aged 18 months to 7 years old. I then moved to Wales where I took on a role as a private nanny for a lovely family caring for their 4-year-old daughter. I held various different babysitting roles throughout that time, caring for newborns up to teenagers. In 2018, I trained as a teaching assistant in Hereford, where I had a placement in a primary school in a reception class.
I enjoy working with children and have found my roles as a nanny and babysitter a privilege. As a childcare provider, I make every effort to keep up with current training, including safeguarding and emergency first aid. I also pay to update my enhanced DBS (child and adult) every year. I am also insured on my car for business purposes.
I am available for ad hoc evening and weekend babysitting. I also provide additional services such as cleaning, ironing, cooking and pet sitting. I welcome all enquiries to see if I can offer support for your family.
If you are interested in my service, I can organise an online meeting via Zoom or Teams, so you have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your childcare needs. Before babysitting, I like to arrange a short face-to-face meeting to allow your child/children to get to know me, as I believe it essential that your child/children feel comfortable and happy with me.
My Experience
I am an experienced hardworking nanny/mother's help, with over seven years of childcare experience. I have a variety of practical childcare experience which has enabled me to develop key skills:
* I have experience working with newborns up to teenagers. I am able to think on my feet and work effectively with children of a range of ages and from different backgrounds.
*Experience working within primary schools as a teaching assistant, which enables me to support children with homework and extra tuition alongside the national curriculum.
* I worked as a peer mentor and as a family support worker assisting teenagers (13 – 16) experiencing a range of problems, from mental health issues, to confidence-building and worries at home.
* I am confident in preparing fresh meals as well as carrying out household tasks, including cleaning, cooking and ironing.

Straight away my daughter loved Georgina and took to her. Georgina has been really professional throughout the whole process of finding someone to fit for babysitting. my daughter loves playing with her and gets very excited when I tell her Georgina is coming over to watch her. She even brought her own little craft basket with her that my child loves! I would highly recommend Georgina.

Georgina has babysat our Son quite a few times now and cannot recommend her enough. She is kind and thoughtful, nothing is too much trouble and she even brought a box of crafts and set up educational activities that our son really enjoys. I'm quite an anxious parent but have no worries leaving my son in her care. Our son absolutely adores her and asks for her frequently and even gets upset when it's time for her to go!

Thank you for your lovely words! I thoroughly enjoyed looking after your son, I always made to feel very welcome in your home. I will always remember when we were playing with his toys and he told me "it's not a digger, it's an excavator"! Every day is a learning day!
Georgina was professional from the beginning, offering to meet the kids at home before babysitting with the relevant documents. She is happy and friendly, and made my kids at ease. They enjoyed having her babysit and also liked the basket of crafts she brought along with her.
