About Me
My name is Rayhana, and I have been an Ofsted-registered childminder since 2007. I am based in Loughton, Essex, and care for children in my own home, where I provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment in which every child feels valued and supported. I have a genuine passion for working with children and take great pride in helping them develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning through a wide range of meaningful, play-based experiences tailored to their individual needs and interests.
I support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage by planning activities that encourage communication and language, physical development, social skills, and emotional well-being. I carefully observe each child’s progress and use this to support their next steps, ensuring they are challenged appropriately while always feeling secure and encouraged.
I also provide children with healthy, fresh, home-cooked meals each day. All food is nutritious, well balanced, and age appropriate, with dietary requirements and allergies carefully catered for. Mealtimes are relaxed and enjoyable, helping to promote positive attitudes towards food and healthy eating habits.
My home is a spacious three-bedroom house with a dedicated playroom, a separate sleeping room, and a large garden. We are also within walking distance of a local park, which offers excellent opportunities for outdoor play and learning. I use both indoor and outdoor environments to support children’s curiosity, creativity, and physical development, giving them a well-rounded and enjoyable early years experience.
My Experience
I am Ofsted registered and rated Good, fully DBS checked, a Coram PACEY member, and hold full public liability insurance. I have been working as a childminder since 2007 and have extensive experience caring for children of various ages and stages of development, including babies, toddlers, and early school-age children. I support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, providing a balance of structured activities and free play tailored to each child’s individual needs. I complete regular observations, maintain learning journals, and track progress to support children’s next steps.
I place a strong emphasis on supporting children’s emotional well-being, behaviour, and confidence, while helping them develop independence through daily routines such as sleep, toileting, and self-care. I also support children with school readiness, preparing them for transitions to nursery or school. Safeguarding and child protection are central to my practice, and I work in close partnership with parents to ensure continuity of care and the best possible outcomes for every child.
My Qualifications
I have completed:
Paediatric first aid course
Safeguarding Children Foundation Training (ESCB Level 2)
Level 3 diploma in home based childcare units 1 and 5
Child protection course
EYFS course
Birth to three matters course
Food and hygiene and healthy eating awareness course
Full, clean UK driving license.
My Availability
I work Monday to Friday as a childminder and am also available for babysitting during evenings and weekends. I offer pick-up and drop-off services to and from a child’s home if required, and I can drop off or collect children from school. I currently provide pick-up and drop-off services for children attending Chigwell School, two days a week. Children in my care are also provided with healthy, fresh meals during their time in my setting. Please contact me to discuss availability, options, and any specific requirements you may have.

We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful childminder. They provided a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where our child felt happy and secure. My son always looked forward to being picked up by Rayhana and always came home with a smile on his face.

Rayhana has looked after children from across our wider family and every single one of them were excited about going to her house or out for the day. She is very nurturing and has provided wholesome, engaging activities for them and she provided both term time and holiday care for more than 9 years. My two sons grew up in her care and are all the better for it. She has been looking after our children since 2016, managing school pick ups and drop offs, full day care for younger ones and after school care too.

Rayhana looked after my daughter from the age of 10 months and i could not have asked for anyone better. She was very good at cretaing a bond with my little one so I know that she was happy and secure in Rayhana's care. This made it much easier for me to return to work. Rayhana is very reliable and proactive in her care. My daughter progressed very well with her vocabulary, identifying objects, foods, animals and with social interactions. I believe this was due to the well balanced routine that Rayhana gave her which included time for everything from daily playgroup/ library visits couple with time for learning and creativity.
Rayhana is definately in the right job and I would not hesitate taking up her services again.
