UPDATE: CURRENTLY CLOSED. NO DATE FOR REOPENING
My name is Rebecca and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder, graded Outstanding (3 times in a row). I provide a high quality, friendly childcare service from my home.
I have been childminding since August 2000 and live with my husband, son and daughter on the Durrington-Tarring border, near the North Star pub and close to The Pulse bus route.
I offer a stimulating and challenging range of indoor and outdoor play and learning experiences for the children in my care, including sensory play, loose parts, arts & crafts, construction toys, role play, small world, sand & water, gardening, dressing up etc, as well as taking them on outings to parks, shops, library and special trips such as farms. We have two cats as pets, and the children are encouraged to help in their care whilst being well supervised.
I specialise in the care of children in the Early Years age group (0-4yos) and do not do school or pre-school pick ups. My setting is very small but it is a homely & loving environment where children feel valued and safe. I work closely with parents to ensure their children thrive and develop. I call my setting 'Children at Heart' as this reflects my belief that children are at the centre of what I do.
I am able to offer free, Government funded early education (pre-school) places for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds (subject to an available space). I also accept employer Childcare Vouchers. I do not normally offer a drop-off or pick up service from pre-schools and nurseries.
I am a founder member of Magic Minders, a voluntary group set up to support local childminders.
I have a degree in education, NVQ3 in childcare, L2 Paediatric First Aid & L2 Food Hygiene and I have been awarded Early years Professional Status. I am also a freelance early years trainer and consultant and write articles for a national Childcare magazine.
I am a member of the National Autistic Society and Reaching Families as I have a special interest in autism since my son was diagnosed with high functioning autism in 2012.
19 years experience as an Ofsted Registered Childminder, graded outstanding. I have also worked ad hoc in a day nursery as bank cover. I currently provide freelance Early Years training and consultancy services including for WSCC.

- Childminding from £5.25 per hour
Please request a copy of my Parent Information Pack for details of my current fees, terms and conditions as hourly rates vary according to type of contract & hours required. As a guide my average fee is £5.25 all year or £6.00 term time only p/h, inclusive of all meals and outings. I offer term-time only (higher fee) or all year round contracts. I do not charge for my holiday or if the setting is closed for any other reason.
I DO NOT OFFER SCHOOL or PRE-SCHOOL COLLECTIONS or DROP-OFFS
My opening hours are 8.00am until 6.00pm
I have a minimum session of 4 hours, (£20 or £25 if term time only) as anything shorter than this is not fair on the children, who find it harder to settle, and cannot do the full range of activities on offer.
