I prioritise the children’s well being in my caring, learning environment. Enquiry visits and settling visits must go ahead as working alongside my parents is also a priority. You must spend time and chose the right setting for you and your child. Please contact me to discuss this further.
NNEB trained I have worked in childcare for 35 years.
Every child needs dedicated, nurturing and attentive care. During settling, and on going, I work closely with my parents, gathering information so my focus can be your child’s wellbeing. Making your child secure and happy is my priority and my passion.
Parents input is highly valued.
In a stimulating, clean, warm and safe setting, I offer a full childcare service, including freshly prepared cooked meals.
I am based near - Wheatfields Nursery/Infants and Junior School, Marshalswick area.
We have lots of stimulating experiences together with a wide variety of activities, messy play, crafts, play activity mornings, play dates, park and outside play, rest times, story times, songs, dancing and laughter. All with encouragement and praise.
Promoting the 7 areas of learning, through EYFS (the Early Years foundation stages),
I communicate through individual WhatsApp diaries, including details of what and how they've eaten, sleep times, nappy changes, all the things we've done and how your child has been throughout the day.
I prioritise the wellbeing of the children in my care, providing consistency, support and guidance as they grow and develop.

My Experience
Since qualifing as a Nursery nurse NNEB, in 1989 I have successfully undertaken many roles in the childcare industry.
I held positions as a maternity nurse, Nanny.
Nursery positions - Senior Nursery Nurse, Deputy and Day Nursery Manager then Regional Manager, before having my own children.
Working within the different childcare settings, I have extensive experience of babies and children's needs (and tricks up my sleeve) including the importance of parental wishes and getting the balance between care and fun learning.
Soon after having my daughter (now 18) I became an Ofsted registered childminder, and have returned to my passion of working directly with young, inquisitive minds, and have never looked back.

Fran has looked after my son since he was 11 months old and my 5 year old daughter before and after school. Fran is absolutely amazing and I couldn't have wished for a safer and more loving home to leave my children in.
As well as being incredibly professional, Fran also provides a very caring and fun leaning environment for the kids. Fran provides lengthy daily reports about the children's days and provides a lot of information about their development and achievements.
The children enjoy healthy fresh food and the home environment is always spotlessly clean.
My 5 year old daughter loves going back to Fran's after school and it is nice for her to come back to a lovely home environment after a long day at school.
Fran takes my son to toddler groups and meets with other child minders with young children so he can enjoy playing with toddlers.
Fran's children are lovely and my daughter loves playing with them and they take such a great interest in the children.
We have not for a moment felt worried about leaving our children with Fran and it made my return to work very easy this time around. We feel very lucky!!

Thank you so much for your review. I'm really privileged to do what I do and have so much enjoyment and compassion for the gorgeous children in my care. It's so rewarding to see them play and learn and enjoy themselves.
Fran has been looking after our son Daniel for the past 14 months, since he was 11 months old. From the first day that I left Daniel in Fran's care I felt happy and confident that he was in a loving and happy home and he has always gone in with a smile on his face and been happy to see Fran and her lovely family.
Fran is so professional and provides the children in her care with a safe and supportive environment in which to develop. She knows Daniel so well and knows exactly where he is developmentally and provides good clear advise about where he needs to go next. In my opinion, Fran constantly strives to ensure the children feel happy and loved and they always have a range of activities that stimulate them and she takes them out to meet other children and experience a range of outdoor activities. She goes above and beyond and always has the children's well being at the centre of her thoughts and plans.
Throughout the time that that Daniel has been with Fran she has kept to his routine and helped through his 'fussy eating' and has been incredibly flexible and supportive (even looking after Daniel on a day that she doesn't work whilst i gave birth the my second child).
I can't thank Fran enough for what she has done for Daniel since he has been with her, in our house she is know as "Frantastic"!

Francesca has looked after my daughter Eva since August 2010 to date (age 11 months to 26 months). I can honestly say that I can not fault the care she has provided. From the first time I left Eva with her I have had absolute confidence in her ability to look after her. Francesca is warm, friendly, experienced, child focussed, cooks wholesome food and ensures that Eva does stimulating activities each day both in and out of the house. She also has 2 delightful children who my daugther adores and who have been so lovely towards Eva. Francesca is very reliable and has never taken a day off sick. She has also always been flexible and understanding of changes to my working hours.
Francesca completes a diary each day which sets out a summary of how Eva has been, what activities she has been up ,what she has eaten, when she has slept and when her nappy has been changed. I have found this very reassuring and informative and this seems to be unique amongst my frends who use childminders.
It is a testament to how good Francesca is and how happy Eva is being looked after her that since moving out of St Albans in April I have travelled 25 minutes each way so that Francescan can continue to look after Eva. It is only now that I am going on maternity leave again that I will sadly no longer need Francesca.
In summary Francesca is a fantastic childminder who I highly recommend.
