About Me
Just like Poppins is based in Thwaites Village, Keighley.
My name is Laura and I am the owner of the setting. I have two sons aged 7 years and 13 months and I have a step son who is also 7.
I set up Just Like Poppins during my maternity leave as this worked well around family life and still enabled me to do a job I love.
I have lots of experience with the EYFS and we will be doing a variety of activities to promote your child’s learning and development. Your child will have their own “scrap book” which will record all of their learning, observations and activities.
We attend daily playgroups and enjoy outdoor play as well as weekly outings and visits to the library.
The setting has two large rooms for playing and exploring and a large outdoor area.
Our family who live very close to the setting own two horses, hens and geese which the children will have opportunities to interact with.
I run a holiday club for those needing childcare outside of term time, please get in touch for more information about this.
I do the Glusburn primary school run. Please contact me regarding any other local school/nursery runs to check availability.

My Experience
I have 11 years of childcare experience, including 5 years working in a SEN school, two year’s teaching.
My Qualifications
I am a fully qualified level 2 and 3 early years practitioner, I gained this qualification at craven college.
I am also trained/qualified in safeguarding, first aid, food hygiene, behaviour management, autism awareness, SEN teaching, lesson planning and delivering, ginger bear, letters and sounds, PMLD, managing medication.
Other completed courses: Blossoming babies, planning in the moment, continuous provisions, safeguarding level 3.
