My name is Emily, I am 31 years old and based in Cheltenham. I am an experienced childcare professional with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development, wellbeing and confidence.
I have worked with children since the age of sixteen across a variety of settings, which has enabled me to develop strong skills in communication, behaviour support and creating engaging, nurturing environments. I particularly enjoy helping children to feel safe, understood and empowered to explore the world around them.

My Experience
My experience working with children began in my teenage years, initially through regular babysitting for several families in my local area. Over time, this developed into ongoing childcare support, including caring for siblings on a weekly basis and providing reliable evening and weekend care for multiple families.
Throughout my career, I have supported children aged 9 months through to 17 years, giving me a strong understanding of different developmental stages, individual needs and family dynamics.
I hold a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education (Distinction) and a Level 2 qualification (Pass). During my training, I gained hands-on experience working within nursery settings, primarily in baby rooms, where I supported staff in delivering high-quality care, planning developmentally appropriate activities and creating safe, nurturing environments.
After completing my Level 3 qualification, I went on to study Childhood Studies at university, graduating with a 2:1. This deepened my knowledge of child development, attachment, safeguarding and supporting children’s emotional wellbeing. Alongside my studies, I volunteered with Girlguiding and worked as a Befriender with Barnardo’s, supporting young people and families within the community.
I have a particular interest in supporting families with babies and young children. To further develop my knowledge of newborn care, feeding support and early routines, I completed an online NVQ Level 4 Postnatal Maternity Nurse course. I am also currently training in Level 3 Paediatric First Aid and have completed extensive safeguarding training, ensuring I provide care that is both nurturing and safe.

I work at school for my main job so am currently only available after school/evenings during term time and in the holidays am much more flexible
