Hello,
I’m Tri, though most families know me as Ani, and I provide warm, nurturing childcare in Hitchin. My home is conveniently located just a 15-minute walk from both Hitchin Train Station and Hitchin Town Centre, making it ideal for commuting parents. We are also close to Strathmore School and Our Lady Catholic Primary School, which is especially convenient for families with children attending these schools.
There is a lovely park located just behind our home, offering a safe and convenient space for outdoor play and exploration. We also have easily accessible parking to ensure smooth, safe drop-offs and pick-ups.
A Safe, Engaging & Comfortable Environment
Our setting includes:
• A spacious garden for outdoor activities
• Ample indoor playrooms space separated from main house for play and learning
• A designated nap space for each child, complete with a travel cot and bed sheet for each child.
• Regular park visits and nature walks (weather permitting)
• Nutritious, home-cooked meals prepared with care
Following my Ofsted inspection in November 2024, I am proud to have received a Good rating. In addition, I have been awarded a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating by North Hertfordshire District Council.
Our Family Approach
As a friendly and compassionate childminder, I believe in fair discipline, clear boundaries, and creating a secure, loving environment where children can thrive. As a mother of two daughters (aged 24and 17), I understand first-hand how important it is to provide a nurturing and supportive space.
Together, we are committed to supporting each child’s development emotionally, socially, and academically.

We have been so so happy to have found Ani’s setting for our son. He started just before his first birthday and six months on, the progress he has made is astounding. Ani supported us to have a smooth transition, providing flexibility and communicating brilliantly. we struggled with some separation anxiety at first, but Ani’s consistent, supportive approach meant that I was confident he was in safe caring hands, it didn’t take long for him to settle.
He is so happy with Ani and her wonderful team. A particular highlight is the food- knowing he is eating well is such a weight off of my mind! Highly recommend.

Our daughter has been going to Ani since she was 11 months old, and has thrived in her safe and caring environment. She absolutely loves Ani and Lilla, and is always excited to go.
Being around the other children and with lots of experiences to stimulate her, has meant her speech has rocketed and she has grown in confidence massively.
Ani worked closely with me when my daughter was transitioning to one nap and was very accommodating in helping that go as smoothly as possible.
My daughter always comes out well fed and a very happy little girl. We get pictures of all the fun things they do and I honestly couldn’t recommend Ani and her setting highly enough - I am so grateful to know that my daughter is in excellent hands whilst clearly having the time of her life!

Our little boy (14 months) joined Ani a couple of months ago and it has truly been a wonderful experience from the very start. We didn’t feel he was ready for a larger nursery environment, and with Ani it has provided the perfect balance: lots of stimulation being around other children, but still in a home setting which seems incredibly nurturing and caring. I love that the children go on little adventures (to the playground or soft play) and Ani’s home setting is wonderfully set up too, with plenty of space and activities. We have struggled with weaning and good eating habits with our little one and have seen a lot of great progress since he’s been with Ani, who has also been fantastic with tips and tricks on what has worked best! I highly recommend Ani and feel very lucky we found her!

As soon as we visited Ani’s house and was welcomed in we knew it was going to be the perfect setting for our daughter. Our daughter settled well and you could tell she felt safe and happy at ani’s home. Ani puts on amazing activities for the children, takes them to soft play, the park, lots of outside time and much more! Ani and her team are caring individuals and our daughter speaks about them constantly, she has made many friends including the cats! I would highly recommend ani and couldn’t ask for anyone better to look after our daughter!

We are delighted to hear your honest review. We are so grateful to have such adorable little girl in our care. She is very happy and her speech is amazing. It’s so nice to see her singing and dancing with other toddlers especially when we play the music sleeping little bunny.
Our daughter has been going to Ani since she was 5 months old and is still there aged over 2 years. She absolutely loves it at Ani’s and always looks forward to going. Ani is brilliant. She has a lovely set up for kids, cooks delicious food for them and provides them with lots of activities throughout the day.
We have another baby on the way and we definitely want him to go to Ani’s when he’s older.

My first daughter attended Ani’s for a year and a half and loved it, and the friends she made there, so it was an easy decision for us to send our second. Ani took a very caring approach to her settling in and now she goes running in at drop off without looking back. We really appreciate that she has always slept and ate very well at Ani’s which means she always comes home happy, and the photo updates I get from Ani reassure me that she is very well looked after. I recommend Ani to all my friends with kids.

Thank you so much for a lovely recommendation, i enjoyed looking after both of them. They are such lovely girls.
Our son has been with Ani since he was 14 months old and he loves it. Ani and her daughter really care for our son and look after him incredibly well. The daily meals he receives are really healthy with lots of variety. He engages in lots of free play with the other children both indoors and outdoors. Ani organises trips out to the local parks, the museum and library. She keeps us up to date with messages and photos throughout the week and a daily handover is received on collection. I would highly recommend Ani.

Our two kids (currently ages 4 and 21 months) have gone to Ani since they were 8 and 7 months old, respectively. We couldn’t have imagined a more positive experience. Especially when they were small and making big changes (solid foods, potty training, dropping naps) Ani has been incredibly supportive and patient. Both kids have always been happy at dropoff and full of stories about things they did and friends they played with during the day. Having watched our older child transition to preschool, it’s really clear how well their time at Ani’s set them up to make the move confidently.

My daughter has been going to Ani's since she was 10 months old (she's now just over 2) and we have been so happy with our experience. Our daughter absolutely loves the days she goes to Ani and we really love that she's in a home setting, being fed delicious meals and that she has lots of variety in her day whether that be playing educational games or leaving the house to go feed the ducks. Would highly recommend!

My daughter has been goinf to Ani since she was 11 months old, and absolutely loves it, Ani really cares and looks after all the children there. They get lovely nutrious meals, lots of playtime, trips to the park in good weather. Ani is great at updating us with how our daughter ate, slept and little updates on how she is doing. I would highly recommend Ani
