I'm Tri, though most know me as Ani, and I offer childcare services in Hitchin. Conveniently situated just a 15-minute walk from both the train station and Hitchin Town Centre, my home is ideal for commuting parents. Additionally, we are located near Strathmore and Our Lady’s school, making it convenient for those who have children attending these schools, as well as a lovely park located behind our house allowing a convenient and secure space for outdoor play. Furthermore, our premises offer easily accessible parking, ensuring smooth and safe drop-offs and pickups for parents.
We have a spacious garden and ample indoor areas to keep children engaged. Each child is provided with a designated space for nap time, complete with a travel cot to ensure comfort. I'm passionate about providing nutritious, home-cooked meals and frequently engage children in outdoor activities such as park visits and nature walks, weather permitting. Following an inspection by Ofsted in November 2024 we received a Good report and I also received five stars rating on food hygiene by North Herts county council.
As a friendly and compassionate childminder, I believe in fair discipline and clear rules. With two daughters of my own, aged 21 and 15, I understand the importance of a nurturing environment.
Additionally, that my 21-year-old daughter, who recently graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of Birmingham, will be embarking on this journey with me. Drawing from her academic background, she is eager to contribute her knowledge and passion to our childcare venture. Together, we are committed to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for the children in our care, blending her knowledge with my years of practical experience to ensure a well-rounded and supportive childcare experience.
To further enhance our knowledge to support the children’s my daughter currently earning qualification in Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator).
I'm registered for 2, 3, and 4-year-old funding, and I'm more than happy to provide references upon request.

We have been so so happy to have found Ani’s setting for our son. He started just before his first birthday and six months on, the progress he has made is astounding. Ani supported us to have a smooth transition, providing flexibility and communicating brilliantly. we struggled with some separation anxiety at first, but Ani’s consistent, supportive approach meant that I was confident he was in safe caring hands, it didn’t take long for him to settle.
He is so happy with Ani and her wonderful team. A particular highlight is the food- knowing he is eating well is such a weight off of my mind! Highly recommend.

Our daughter has been going to Ani since she was 11 months old, and has thrived in her safe and caring environment. She absolutely loves Ani and Lilla, and is always excited to go.
Being around the other children and with lots of experiences to stimulate her, has meant her speech has rocketed and she has grown in confidence massively.
Ani worked closely with me when my daughter was transitioning to one nap and was very accommodating in helping that go as smoothly as possible.
My daughter always comes out well fed and a very happy little girl. We get pictures of all the fun things they do and I honestly couldn’t recommend Ani and her setting highly enough - I am so grateful to know that my daughter is in excellent hands whilst clearly having the time of her life!

Our little boy (14 months) joined Ani a couple of months ago and it has truly been a wonderful experience from the very start. We didn’t feel he was ready for a larger nursery environment, and with Ani it has provided the perfect balance: lots of stimulation being around other children, but still in a home setting which seems incredibly nurturing and caring. I love that the children go on little adventures (to the playground or soft play) and Ani’s home setting is wonderfully set up too, with plenty of space and activities. We have struggled with weaning and good eating habits with our little one and have seen a lot of great progress since he’s been with Ani, who has also been fantastic with tips and tricks on what has worked best! I highly recommend Ani and feel very lucky we found her!
