About Me
Hello, my name is Ellis. Im a 28 year old mum and am Level 3 NVQ qualified in childcare in which I gained at Havering college in Harold Hill, Essex. I am a stay at home mum to my 3 year old daughter & my 5 monthly old son. My daughter currently attends nursery every morning.
I have over 10 years childcare experience with children aged newborn - 11 years as well as management experience within a nursery school setting.
I have an up to date DBS and paediatric first aid training. I’m not ofsted registered but am happy to be at the employers cost.
I am a kind and caring individual as well as confident, calm and friendly.
I love working with children, it’s what I had always wanted to do growing up and even though I’m not in current employment I would love to continue my services down a different path of becoming a nanny although this role would work better for me if carried out in my own home as I have a young baby & need to pick my daughter up daily at 11.30.
I always put the child first, make sure their best interest is at heart and all their needs are met whilst also making sure we’re having fun and learning at the same time.
I understand that each child is unique and becoming a mum myself I know the importance of finding the right person to care for the most precious thing in your world.
My Experience
I have worked in a number of day nurseries with children aged 0-5 years at the beginning of my career and then went onto a Nursery/Children’s Centre where I spent the last 5 years before leaving to have my daughter in 2020.
I started as a nursery assistant and before leaving my role was Lead Nursery Manager of a team of 11 staff with 2-3 year old children. So I worked hard to move up several positions in the 5 years of working there.
I also occasionally babysit 2 girls from a previous nursery I worked at. I started babysitting them when they were 8 months & 2 years.. they are now 9 and 10 and they are like my mini best friends & I’m very close with their family.
I have experience working with children with SEN and ELA. This has given me the opportunity to learn further childcare skills and work with outside agencies as well as in partnership with parents to support each child’s individual needs. I also have in depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage which is a guideline used to track and support a young child’s development.

We’ve had Ellis as our baby sitter for nearly 6 months and my daughter absolutely adores her.
