My little girl, Freya started going to Maria's in August 2014 and it was the best thing that we did. She has come on leaps and bounds since going.
Maria is a lovely lady who ensures we always know how the day has gone through a daily diary as well as sending pictures and messages to put our minds at ease that Freya is ok and enjoying herself.
Maria provides a wide variety of activities for all the children, including arts and crafts, singing and dancing and days out at the park when the weather is warmer.
I am really glad that we chose Maria to look after Freya its the best decision we've made.

I am unsure where to start however, first impressions seems to be a good place, from the moment i made contact with Maria she was kind, considerate and very attentive to our needs for childcare. It is so important to find someone with similar morals and values when it comes to choosing a person to care for your children. Maria was always open and honest about her approach and the communication on daily basis was second to none. I have had a very bad experience in the past with childcare, i was able to discuss this with Maria and she helped me through my own insecurities when it came to trusting someone with my little girl, she went out of her way time and time again to ensure Mae and the rest of the family were happy and settled.
We do not live within the same area as Maria and without a shadow of doubt it was worth travelling to obtain the best care for Mae.
Maria's attention to detail when it came to Mae's development both Physically, Mentally and emotionally was always appreciated, she took the time to really get to know Mae and her funny little ways, this helped me immensely over the past year when i myself have struggled at times to keep up.
Mae was quite a fussy eater on starting with Maria however over time she has been gently encouraged to have a more balanced diet and as a result is now much less fussy and open to trying new things.
Mae loved that Maria has two cats, i think the inclusion of animals within the home/childcare setting teaches children to act with care and compassion and this was defiantly a positive aspect in my opinion.
Mae has bonded so well with Maria, as well as her children and her family and i believe this is down to Maria's kind and loving approach, if you are looking for a strict, detached approach this is not the setting for you however if a loving, supportive, home from home approach is what you and most importantly your little person requires then look no further.
It is with a very heavy heart that its now time for Mae to move on to school nursery, however i have no doubt that she has gained all the confidence, education and support to allow her to thrive in her new environment through her time spent with Maria. Thank you so Much Maria you are one in a million and mean the world to our family.

My son Sam was with Maria between the age of 2 and 3 years. Placing Sam with Maria meant I could return to my Teaching post part time and when circumstances changed I wished he didn't have to leave! Sam absolutely loved going two days a week and would babble on about the wonderful things he had done. As a teacher of young children I completely understand how important it is to parents to have the highest quality of care for your child. Myself and Sam were given the warmest of welcomes. It was completely like home from home. Sam was always very happy and content. He took part in many rich learning activities, going to play group, walking and painting amongst many others. He developed an early love for his food and absolutely loved his dinners. His diary often says 'dinner all ate up '.He was supported through his potty training days with the upmost care and I noticed a huge development in his speech (this had been an area of concern for Sam). I would absolutely recommend Maria as a childminder. A diamond of a person!

Maria has cared for our youngest daughter, from six months of age. She is now twelve years old. Maria is the most beautiful person and has provided the most outstanding care. I have recommended her provision to many parents. As a Headteacher of a Primary School, it was imperative that my daughter was nurtured right from an early age in the same way, as a family member. Her professionalism is superb and she excels in communication with parents about their child/children, this enhances the bond and supports the home and family environment.
Maria is supported by her Mam, Catherine Ormerod, a registered Childminder, who cared and nurtured for our elder daughter, who is now fifteen. Both our daughters are bright, confident and caring young girls, my husband and I attribute this to the, gorgeous early years they have spent with Maria.

Maria was an angel for me and my family - I am a GP and in the last year of my training in 2012, our family was split between London and the North East. This put a strain on me and my family but having the undying support and help from Maria was the strength I needed to get us through a difficult time. Maria will always go that extra bit to help and whenever she can help. She would have them at weekends, holidays and occasionally overnight to help with our busy workload.
I felt very happy and reassured that the children were absolutely well cared for and stimulated. My children never had any problems settling in, Maria has the patience of jobe and her and her family are some of the most caring people I know.
I remember the time I was having my second child and Maria and her mum helped without question by having my son overnight…they didn't bat an eyelid..I've met the whole family and continue to miss them - I've now moved down south : (
Don't worry your children will be in safe hands.

Maria is an outstanding childminder. She has provided after school care for my daughter and currently looks after my nieces. Maria has wonderful relationships with parents and has a fantastic rapport with all children in her care. My daughter was always extremely happy to be looked after by Maria and is very fond of her and her family. Maria always provdes exciting and simulating activities for all children. The meals she provides are well balanced and nutritious. Maria has a wonderful garden with a fantastic play area. It is truly amazing! Maria is great child minder and I cannot reccomend her highly enough!

My daughter Freya has been cared for by Maria since she was sixteen months old, she is now seven which shows how much I am confident about the standard of care Maria provides. When asked what she thinks about Maria Freya says "I think she is brilliant" and I agree!
When Freya was little she benefitted from the vast range of toys and activities provided by Maria to help her learn and enjoy herself. I have an abundance of cards, models, pictures and presents she has made for me over the years and a daily diary that helps me feel I haven't missed any of Freya growing up. Maria also creates a scrap book of the themed activities the children complete relating to the seasons of the year.
Maria provides good quality balanced meals for the children and snacks and drinks. Freya was born with food allergies and I have always been confident that Maria would ensure she did not have anything that she should not have - thankfully Freya grew out of her allergies and is now happy to eat everything she is given by Maria.
Maria is supported by her mother Cath herself a Registered Childminder, Peter her father, a retired Head Teacher and her husband Terry, a Police Officer. They are all extremely positive with the children and parents too.
Freya has become part of their family and I wouldn't want it to be any other way. As a single parent who works full time in child protection I value the care and support given to us both by the family. Freya now goes to Maria before and after school and full-time during school holidays and has become firm friends with Maria's children and frequently plays with them at weekends.
We cannot recommend Maria highly enough for peace of mind for busy parents.
