Live Out Nanny Job In West Oxfordshire

About Me

We are a loving, busy and passionate business family living in the Cotswolds. We are easy-going Australians, but also deeply committed to making a difference in the world. So we’re very busy making it a better place through our business, contribution to the charities we support, and the low impact way we (try to) run our household.

Joanna is a professional speaker and author who travels a lot. She hosts large scale events and weekend retreats for women leaders. Greg works in this business too and both of us work from home.

We have two children, a boy, 10 and a girl 6. Our son (year 6) is a quiet, intelligent bookworm into Rubiks cubes. Our daughter (year 2) is a chatty, playful empathic soul, with a lot of personality and is fiercely independent.

We have no family in the country- so we're looking for someone who wants to become a part of our family unit.

My Requirements

Live Out Nanny
Housekeeper

We are looking for a Housekeeper/Childcarer to join our happy, busy family in the village of Kingham, Oxfordshire.

The role is live out, approx. 30- 35 hours a week. Hours are 11am-6pm – Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends. Some flexibility on set hours is possibles.

This role is basically to help us keep the household running. You’re not expected to do it all alone- we’re perfectly happy to put a load of laundry on and cook a meal – but between us all we get it all done. Your help is appreciated int these three main areas:

1. On the housekeeper side. You will help out with crucial things like online grocery shopping, laundry and keeping the house clean and tidy. You can also help by cooking some weekday meals.

2. On the childcare side: During term time you will help with school pickups (from 3.30), getting homework done, driving to clubs and so on (car provided). In school holidays you’ll often be sole care for the kids during the day, and help by organizing holiday camps and play dates.

3. General organizational help: There’s a few other bits and bobs like helping stay on top of communications from school, post office runs and so on that are really helpful too.

Your support helps us both to work while still enjoying every available snippet of precious family time.

Without you- none of it works.

You are someone who:
- has a deep and genuine desire to help out. You know the importance of caring home support.
- has run a household before (your own is fine!) and is happy to be proactive in sorting things.
- is loving and kind. You understand emotions of small people and help them to feel safe.
-feels at home with very busy people, in their home/work environment. You are genuinely interested in making people's lives easier.
-enjoys making order out of chaos: you have a natural ability to catch it all.
-has high standards, and is even a bit of a neat freak: but you appreciate that achieving it is actually impossible with young kids around!
-cares about the environment and is happy to work in a home where we strive to be low impact, plastic free, and low waste.
-understands good health and loves cooking and is comfortable managing gluten free and dairy free options
-manages your own energy well and will speak up if you need anything.
-has a clean drivers licence
- is a non-smoker

If this sounds like you, please apply with a message stating clearly:
- why you would be perfect for the job
- your wage expectations
