My Experience

Previously I have worked for Bright horizons,The Fruit Tree Day Nursery aswell as Little Elms Daycare, I am a very hard worker with over the past 4 years experience working with children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years. I am able to supervise a maximum of 8 children at a time and provide support where necessary, including having worked with a child with autism and caring for there needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities. Over the past year in my current role I have assisted with the creation and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes for each of the children under my care. I always try my best to understand a childs needs and establish interact with them according to there individual needs. I am always eager to promote teamwork and building friendships amongst the children I work with and encourage them to engage in all activities which in turn works towards improving independence and reduce shyness.



I have worked in a team taking turns to be teacher and always ensure I provide feedback to the children in relation to their work as well as feeding back to parents. I am fully trained in paediatric First Aid and have been involved in administering medicines and treatments when appropriate. Having worked with children from 3 months to 5 years I am fully capable of changing nappies and assisting with other toileting needs as required.I always work to Create an orderly and supportive environment when teaching the children under my care. Within the team at my current role we all assist each other with the planning of activities to help the children pick up new skills and good learning habits

I work hard to ensure I promote good behaviour in the children I work with, always dealing promptly issues and incidents in line with established policy encouraging children to take responsibility for their own behaviour.There is a lot of paper work involved in my current role and I am skilled in administrative support e.g. photocopying, typing, filing I am capable of preparing plans and gathering the resource required to meet the relevant learning activity and assist in their use when necessary as well as adjusting the activities where required to suite a childs needs.
