******SOME PLACES NOW AVAILABLE!!!!!!****NOW OFFERING FREE CHILDCARE PLACES FOR ELIGABLE 2 YEAR OLDS AND ALL 3-4 YEAR OLDS!!!!!I am Luci and I live with my partner. I am fully Ofsted registered. I live in a rural setting in Accrington with close links to Oswaldtwistle, Haslingden and Blackburn. I have worked with children for 13 years now. This includes working on the Holiday club as shift leader at the local sports centre, working as a lifegaurd, leading childrens birthday parties and also teaching swimming lessons to children from the age of 3 to 19, some of which had disabilities. I love working with children as i find it very rewarding. Looking after children is not just a job to me but somthing that i enjoy thoroughly. During the childrens time in my care the can look forward to our large garden and field with lots of play equipment and direct access to footpaths with lots of room to adventure. We also have ponies, chickens, ducks, dogs and pygmy goats at our setting with lots of other animals such a sheep and pigs in neighbouring land. We also enjoy going to the park, play centres, nature adventures, building dens, playing outdoors and farm visits. The children will be involved in all kinds of activities including painting, colouring, playing, messy play, sticking, playing on the nintendo Wii and Playstation 2, watching videos, dressing up, story time, free play and many more. I believe that children should be encouraged to learn through play.
My Experience

I have also worked helped and assisted another childminder for around a year before setting up my own buisness. I have been around children all of my life and have always loved being around them.
My Qualifications
I have 10 GCSE' s including 5 A, 4 B, and 1 C
I have my foundation cirtificate in Food Hygiene
Safegaurding level 1 and 2
I have my Paediatric First Aid
I have my first aid at work level 3.
Level 3 AET Education and Training
I have First Aid including CPR within National Lifegaurding Qualification.
I am a member of Morton Michelle
I have attended all of the Early Years Foundation Courses
i have completed my NVQ level 3 in childcare
My Availability
I will be Available to work from 7.30am until 6 pm but i can be flexable to try to help anybodies needs.

My daughter has been at Luci's for a few months and absolutely loves her- she always comes home excited about all the things she's been doing and places they've been. She's been very flexible with times and our daughter's learning and development is very well supported while she is at Luci's. I would highly recommend her :)

When I went back to work full time my son went through some really bad experiences at a nursery he was attending. Luci came highly recommended by a few people I knew and when contacting her she was very efficient, she got back to me straight away answered the 1 million and 1 questions I had and it was clear that she was the right person to look after my son. From the moment they met he absolutely loved being with her, soon after that she took on my daughter for the school hols and although they are a handful when they're together she was superb with them. Now she has my children at holiday times but she is so much more than a childminder, she's more like family. My children absolutely adore her she's kind, caring and she's helped me through some really hard times, after the experience I had with the nursery It wasn't easy for me to leave my children with somebody elso but Luci was brill!!

Luci took care of our grandson at very short notice during some very difficult family circumstances. Luci's love and compassion towards our grandson and our family was something we didn't expect to receive from our grandson's childminder. Luci quickly developed at bond with our 6mth old grandson which was evidently reciprocated by the huge smile on his face when he saw her every morning. Due to our difficult family circumstances we needed a childminder who could be flexible and nothing was a problem for Luci. She would go out of her way to be as flexible as possible for us. I'm pleased to say that our grandson is developing into a happy, confident and cheeky boy and much of that is thanks to Luci. She really does 'care' for the children she looks after - it's not just a job to her! I would "highly" recommend Luci to look after any child at whatever age.
