mothers help / nanny

Reviewed

Zoe has been my mother’s help / nanny, working alongside me here at home since November 2014 and she is amazing!!! No praise is high enough. Zoe has oodles of qualifications, has personal life experience of being a mother, and has a very happy and warm disposition, so is a dream to have alongside you in your mothering role, or she is equally happy being a sole carer. Zoe works from her heart and she is kind, empathic, non judgemental, and has an ‘I’ll do anything I can to help you’ approach, which is just what a mummy needs.
I am a solo parent to a nearly 3 yr old, a continued breast feeder and Zoe’s ability to adapt and work alongside me, as a mother’s help is fantastic. She is very intuitive and by no means ‘gets in the way or treats on your mummy role toes’, but is instead incredibly helpful on so many levels and just supports where you need it most. If my daughter got needy / booby, Zoe would venture off and find things to do / clean in the house. Zoe is an amazing housekeeper. Just what you need with a toddler! She’s always pottering around and tidy’s up after the child has played with something, but equally allows room for the child to free play, striking a wonderful balance for the child to learn order, but also to enjoy play. She has a child led play approach, which mirrors my own mothering style, which was imperative for me to find in a mother’s help. Zoe has built an amazing bond with my child, gaining my child’s trust and devotion and a bond that I hope will last a lifetime.
I only let Zoe go, because I’d reached a stage in my mothering, where my child was showing more signs of independent play, which left me more ‘hands free’ time to take care of housework and household matters. Zoe fulfilled my needs beautifully, and gave me the wings to fly again as a solo mother. Honestly, no praise is high enough. She’s been a joy to have around, especially through the isolated times of being a solo home-based breast feeding mother. When she left after her 3 hr shift, my child was happy, my home looked tidy, and I felt relaxed. Not sure what else you could wish for in a mother’s help! I’m happy that I’ve reached a level of independence, and Zoe is no longer ‘needed’, but so sorry to see her go, as she’s more than a nanny, she has grown to become a part of our family. Zoe works from her heart and deserves to find a beautiful family, who take care of her, like she takes care of you xx
