About Me
I have been child minding for 3 years and thoroughly love it! I live in Pitsea with my partner, we have a chihauhau dog, a senior cat, three african land snails, 2 very friendly feretts and a goldfish!
I hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate, clean driving license and we have both had a CRB check.
I received a "Good" grade from my Ofsted inspection in 2011 and am due my next visit later this year. I have continually achieved "Green" from my annual inspections with Essex Early Years - something that I am very proud of!
I am also Accredited, so can offer the 15 hours child care each week for 2,3 & 4 year olds which is funded by the government.
Just like schools and nurseries we follow the EYFS Framework and have themes and topics to explore with the children. We plan our activities around the children's ages and stage of development, and observe& record their progress using Learning Journals.
My Experience
I have worked in nursery settings when living back home in Cardiff, however when I moved to Essex about 10 years ago I worked for an insurance broker in Southend-On-Sea.
During my years at the nurseries I have worked with children as young as 6 weeks old up to their 5th birthday when they left for school.
It was always my dream to return to working in the child care industry and using my home as my setting is the perfect opportunity to provide a warm, safe and inviting environment for children and follow the EYFS Framework along with my assistant who is also First Aid Trained, CRB Checked and has experience from working in a local nursery and is Level 2 qualified.
