My name is Laura. I started child minding in December 2013.
I have a son who was born in July 2012 and daughter who was born in May 2016 and live with my partner in Horley. We have a Labrador who was born in March 2015 who is a key member of our family.
We go out most mornings to local toddler groups and soft play or out to the parks, national trust venues and local farms for the day, I feel this will benefit each child’s emotional and social skills as well as physical development, which will help in preparation for starting nursery/school.
After lunch we do activities at home / read books, arts and crafts and play in the garden.
My aim is to provide quality child care for babies/children 0-8yrs. To develop continuity of care. To provide healthy extended family atmosphere. To work in partnership with parents/carers to enhance the child’s development to enable the child to reach his/her full potential. To be sensitive to sex, race, cultural religion and linguistic backgrounds of individual children and parents.
My Experience
After college I worked in 4/5* hotels for 10 years in the weddings, events and sales departments. The last hospitality position I held I was in for 4 years as the Wedding and Private Dining Manager in a 5* hotel in Bagshot, Surrey for which I left to look after my son in 2012.
I then became an Ofsted Registered Childminder in November 2013.
My Qualifications
I have 11 GCSE's, an advanced GNVQ in Travel and Tourism and an HND in Hospitality Management.
I have been Ofsted Registered since November 2013 and I have since then have completed the following - CHIP training course, paediatric first aid course, safeguarding course, planning, observing and documenting course
Surrey county council run courses which I attend when possible, some of which include - schemas, fun with sounds, understanding boys..
I completed my Early Years Educator course LEVEL 3 in May 2016 which I completed in the evenings and weekends to better my knowledge of the industry.

- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
Please contact me for fees, I can do hourly or daily subject to requirements
I accept cash, standing order or childcare voucher schemes.
Payment to be made on the 1st Monday of each month.

Laura has looked after my youngest son for the past two years, and I honestly cannot recommend her highly enough. Her care, professionalism and dedication have been incredible from day one.
During his time with Laura, he has been on so many wonderful adventures and has had countless opportunities to explore, learn and discover new things. I will be forever grateful for the love, care and attention she has given him.
Laura’s home quickly became a second home to him, which I think is so important in those early years. He has always felt happy, safe and completely comfortable in her care, and it has been lovely to see how much he has grown in confidence and developed into such a happy, curious little boy.
Laura plans a fantastic range of daily outings in all weathers, which my son absolutely loved, as well as thoughtful and engaging activities that are carefully planned to encourage children to explore, create and learn.
Knowing that your child is happy, safe, loved and learning while you are away from them is priceless, and Laura has given us exactly that.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Laura to anyone looking for exceptional childcare. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her and will always be grateful for everything she has done for our son. ❤️

Laura is a fantastic childminder. My daughter thrived when being with her and her family. She felt very at home with them and was made to feel part of the family.
Laura often does days out which I think is a big bonus, u like nurseries she will go to baby/ toddler groups, soft plays, park and the farm. She also plans out weekly themed activities for the children to do which my daughter loved. I cannot recommend her enough

Laura is wonderful, she cared for our son from 11 months until nearly 3 and he absolutely thrived whilst he was with her. He couldn't wait for his "Lau Lau" days and she is incredible at setting up activities and organising day trips. Despite only attending one day a week, he settled very quickly and this is testament to Laura's caring nature and the wonderful 'home from home' atmosphere she has. We will forever be grateful for the time he spent there and would highly recommend Laura to anyone.
