Absolute peace of mind

We’re absolutely delighted with the environment Jane has created. Both of my children are thriving there, and I have complete peace of mind knowing they’re in such a happy and safe place. Jane really goes above and beyond—she’s not only making sure the kids are well-cared for, but she’s been incredibly supportive in helping my eldest get ready for school later this year.
And the food, Jane has somehow got my fussy eater to not only be eating more but being more curious and adventurous about food.

Sudden Termination After 3 days

We contacted Jane and her childminding business in March/April 2025, before our child was even born, after being recommended to her, to enquire about a future childcare place. We planned well in advance, followed her process, and later in 2025 paid both a registration fee and a deposit after being reassured that our child’s place was secured.

Our 9-month-old completed his settling-in week in January 2026, which went well, and officially started the following week. However, on his very first full day of care, I received an email advising that Jane’s childminding business could no longer continue caring for him due to an accident involving another childminder. We were told care could only continue until the end of that week, giving us just three days’ notice to find alternative childcare.

The impact of this cannot be overstated. As first-time parents, we were suddenly forced into an urgent childcare crisis with virtually no time to respond. At that point, almost all local childminders were already fully booked months in advance. Although another childminder was suggested, there was in reality no available space, leaving us scrambling while both parents were working full time.

Despite our child having completed settling-in and officially started, there were no contingency arrangements in place to support continuity of care. What made this situation even more difficult was the lack of empathy shown during our final days. There was little acknowledgment of the stress, disruption, and pressure placed on our family, which compounded what was already an overwhelming and distressing experience.

While unforeseen situations can occur, giving a family just three days’ notice after taking fees, completing a settling-in period, and allowing a child to officially start demonstrates a failure to have appropriate contingency planning in place and raises serious concerns about how this childminding business manages risk and continuity of care.

To add to this, although the deposit was returned, the registration fee was not refunded, despite our 9-month-old only attending for three full days.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend Jane’s childminding business. What happened to us could very easily happen to another family. I strongly urge parents to think very carefully before committing and to actively seek out alternative childminders who have clear, robust contingency plans in place. No parent should open an email one morning and discover that their childcare will end in three days, particularly when both parents are working full time. I hope this experience prompts serious reflection on how this childminding business plans for continuity of care in the future.

Sweetness Camp

Finding the right childcare can be an incredibly daunting experience, especially when a previous attempt hasn't worked out. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have found Jane and her wonderful, caring team at Sweetness Camp.
Returning to work was already tough, but it was made even more challenging when our daughter struggled to settle at a local nursery, culminating in an accident after three weeks. Desperate for an alternative, we found Jane through recommendations from other mums, and it has been an absolute blessing.
From the moment our daughter joined, Jane and her team went above and beyond to help her settle in. Their genuine warmth and nurturing approach made all the difference. We quickly gained complete trust in Sweetness Camp as a safe and incredibly supportive environment. It’s clear our daughter is not only well looked after but truly thrives there.
A special mention must go to Jane and Maryori's delicious and healthy cooking. Providing nutritious meals is so important for growing children, and it's something they excel at.
Overall, we feel incredibly blessed to have met Jane and her team. Their dedication, kindness, and professionalism have given us immense peace of mind. We are confident our daughter will continue to grow into a confident and happy child under their wonderful care.

Exceptional childcare

Having initially enquired with the well-known local nurseries, we were concerned about the long waiting lists and the large group sizes. A friend encouraged us to consider childminders. We found Sweetness Camp and never looked back. We left our introductory meeting with Jane knowing that our son would be nurtured and loved in a fantastic learning enviroment and we would have the best carers for our son.

Since our son started 8 months ago (aged 11 months), our first impressions have been proven correct and the team have exceeded our expectations in caring for our son and helping us as first time parents. We are extremely impressed at the physical and educational development in our son under the care of the team at Sweetness Camp. The children really benefit from being in a mixed age group setting, where the young ones develop really quickly and the older ones learn how to be caring and sharing with younger children. We can't believe how many words our son can say already and how he engages in imaginative play at such a young age.

Sweetness Camp provides an excellent, caring, educational enviroment for young children and should be your first call when considering childcare on the Isle of Dogs.

Outstanding childcare

Our son has been with Jane since late February 2024, and we genuinely think we couldn't have found better childcare.
Prior to finding her, we had visited a few nurseries and childminders. The moment we met her, we knew we wanted her to look after our son.
Jane and the team are wonderful. They truly care about the kids and do great things with them from a developmental and educational perspective without forgetting about the fun!

We have total peace of mind when leaving our son with them, and he enjoys the time he spends with them.

We would recommend Sweetness Camp to anyone looking for childcare!

Beyond Expectations!

We feel incredibly fortunate to have found Jane and Sweetness Camp! From the moment our daughter, who was just 11 months old at the time, joined the camp, we felt an instant connection with Jane and her amazing team.

Their warmth and dedication made the transition so smooth for us, and it quickly became evident that our daughter was in the best hands.

Jane, Jenn and Maryori's care and attention have been truly exceptional, and we couldn’t recommend more highly!

Exceptional Childcare

Jane is an outstanding childcare professional, with many years of experience. She truly cares about children’s needs and development. I feel my son is well cared for and very happy with her. He is also eating almost everything there, even though he’s a picky eater at home.
I fully trust her and I’m grateful for taking such a good care of Alex. She is proactive and thinks out of the box when it comes to children’s needs.
Also important to note, she focuses in preparing them for school and her food is healthy, with a good variety.
Initially, I had planned to take Alex to another nursery, but then I heard such good things about Jane from other mums and thought to change. I’m so glad I did.

"Exceptional Childcare Experience with Jane

I cannot express enough how delighted we are with Jane and her childcare. Our first encounter with Jane in November 2022 left an indelible impression. From the very beginning, it was evident that her warmth and the environment she provided were precisely what we were seeking for our 17-month-old daughter, Anaisha.

Anaisha had initially proven to be quite a challenge to settle in. She wouldn't eat and had difficulty sleeping. However, Jane and her dedicated team went above and beyond to ensure that Anaisha felt loved and cared for, never left out. Their unwavering commitment was remarkable.

Jane and her team employed a variety of techniques to encourage Anaisha to eat and feel welcome amongst her peers. Gradually, Anaisha began to adapt and soon she was all settled. Our dream of her attending daycare with excitement has become a daily reality as she eagerly looks forward to go to Jane and her team.

What truly sets Jane apart is the way she engages the children in a multitude of activities. It's a joy to watch. From doing learning activities, picnics to outdoor play, Jane ensures that the children not only learn but also have a blast while doing so. They learn valuable lessons in play and sharing with their peers.

Furthermore, the meals provided by Jane are both nutritious and delectable, a combination that puts our minds at ease as parents.

An happy place we trust 400%!

Our daughter has been with Jane since she was 6 month old! And frankly what a relief when we found her. We immediately felt a connection between Jane and our baby and also we were so aligned. Our daughter was welcomed by the Sweetness Camp team as if she was a new addition to their family, so reassuring! Jane and her team provide a friendly and safe environment for the children, Jane cooks healthy food, teaches them good habits and manners. She is doing a wonderful job, giving them the structure they need, teaching them so much on all levels and keeping them entertained with lots of creative activities and outings. When you see all the kids play together, you can see they are all happy to be there and they have created a real bond all together.

Jane has really been able to create a friendly environment between her team, the children and the parents as well, which is rare. She is always providing us with great advice and guidance whenever we need it. We feel good being able to have access to a professional like her.

We would definitely recommend her 100%!

Jane and her team is the best!

I sent my son to Jane from one and a half years old until he started school.
Jane and her team have many brilliant ideas to enrich my kid's life and help him learn new things. They gave him love and helped him achieve many milestones, making him a happy, confident, and independent child.
He had lots of beautiful memories and made great friends at Jane's.
I would definitely recommend Jane and her team.
