My Experience
My experience working with babies and children has varied over the years.
Working in nurseries, nannying and in clinical settings with children & young people with various disabilities. And in my current post for nearly 8 years as a Neonatal Nursery Nurse caring for premature babies on the Trevor Mann Baby Unit at Brighton hospital.
I have an NVQ Level 2&3 childcare qualification.
Access Health and Heath Science Diploma
GCSEs
Over the years have attended various childcare courses.
Some suited specifically to a child’s disability needs whilst in my care.
Regular & frequent mandatory study days throughout the year within my current Neonatal role. Such as; Infant feeding, Clinical supervision, Neonatal ventilation, Transport, Neonatal research, Manual handling. Basic life support Adults- yearly updates. Newborn Life support – yearly updates. Basic life support teaching parents. IVH Perinatal Mental health champions training.

Living centrally in Brighton i have the enjoyment of exploring the exciting things Brighton & Hove has to offer. Visiting local establishments, ensuring each child’s physical, emotional and social skills are met.

Frankie looked after my two children (1 and 9) and niece (1) -- nannying two days a week for the little ones and providing ad hoc babysitting on top. She is utterly brilliant. Lovely to have around, professional, calm, kind, fun, can do.... All the kids loved her. Only parted ways because of a location change -- only wish we could have kept her! Can't recommend highly enough.
