Supportive Family Looking For A Calm, Send-Aware Ks3 Tutor
About Me
We’re a friendly, down-to-earth family looking for the right support for our daughter. She’s a bright, creative young person who can find learning challenging at times due to additional needs, so she does best with people who are calm, patient and able to build trust at her pace.
We really value a gentle, nurturing approach that focuses on confidence as much as progress. We’re looking for someone kind, understanding and reliable who enjoys working with SEND children and can make learning feel safe and positive.
We’re very supportive, communicative and keen to build a good working relationship with the right person.
My Requirements
Type of care required:
Private Tutor (face-to-face)
Subject(s):
Maths and English (KS3)
Special needs experience:
Experience working with SEND children, including PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), anxiety and learning confidence needs.
Hours / days:
Flexible – likely 1–2 sessions per week
Days/times to be agreed
Location:
In-person sessions (local)
What we’re looking for:
A calm, patient and nurturing tutor who understands PDA profiles and the need for flexibility, low-demand approaches and relationship-led learning. Building trust and confidence is far more important to us than strict structure or exam-focused teaching.
Ideal background:
Tutor, teacher, teaching assistant or someone with relevant experience supporting SEND children, particularly PDA.
Other requirements:
Friendly, reliable and able to adapt sessions to suit our daughter’s needs, interests and emotional state on the day.
