About Me
My name is Joanne Green, and I have been a registered childminder since 2006. I live with my husband, one of my three grown-up children, and my granddaughter in a quiet part of the village.
I provide childcare from my semi-detached home, where I have a dedicated playroom equipped with a wide range of natural, wooden, and open-ended resources. I follow a Montessori-inspired approach that encourages independence, problem-solving, and creativity, while ensuring the environment remains homely and welcoming.
I aim to provide a safe, secure, and nurturing “home from home” environment where children feel valued, supported, and confident to try new experiences. I encourage positive attitudes towards learning by offering a balance of structured activities, child-led play, and opportunities to explore the local community.
For outdoor learning and physical development, I take children on regular trips to the local park and community spaces, giving them daily opportunities for fresh air, exercise, and social interaction with others.
I also co-run a local toddler group with another childminder, which strengthens community links and helps children develop their social skills and confidence in larger groups.
Safeguarding is central to my practice. I keep my knowledge up to date through regular training and follow the EYFS statutory framework, alongside local safeguarding procedures. I maintain detailed records, risk assessments, and policies to ensure children’s safety and wellbeing at all times.
In addition, I provide before and after school care for children attending Freckleton C of E School, supporting continuity of care for families.
My Experience
Over the years, I’ve learnt that every child is unique and develops in their own way. I encourage children’s curiosity, independence, and confidence through a wide variety of activities, helping them learn and grow while having fun.

My hours are-
Mon to Thursday from 8am to 5.30pm
I have long and short term contracts available
I also do school drop offs and pick ups from Freckleton c of e school
Jojos childcare setting is open during the school holiday period unless otherwise notified
I currently don’t have any vacancies till beginning of sept

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Full day session £45 (upto 8 hours)
Half day session £25
I can except childcare vouchers from a range of providers and I am also able to offer free childcare places for 2,3 and 4 year olds
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Freckleton Church of England Primary School
