My Summary
About Me
• 20 Years experience
• Mum of two
• Degree educated
• Full clean Drivers licence
• All relevant checks and paperwork/certificates
Available for evening and babysitting whilst on mat leave with my second child.
I am an educated, highly experienced, warm and loving nanny living and working in Walthamstow. I moved here three years ago with my husband and two children.
I am also available for proxy parenting, behaviour, sleep and potty training consultation.
I have 20 years of experience working with children aged 5 months-12 years in nanny roles and in pre-school/nursery settings. I have a degree in Developmental Psychology from Goldsmiths University.
I believe that the attachments that children make early on help to shape them and provide the template on which their world view is built. They should feel secure, be allowed to express themselves and be guided without shame and with lots of explanation. Boundaries and routine help to reinforce a sense of safety, and respecting children’s differing personalities allow them to feel the positive regard with which a strong and positive relationships with themselves are founded and expanded.
I absolutely adore being around children and bring fun and enthusiasm to every day, whist being organised and very knowledgeable about child development. I am also an old hand so am always happy to talk through any troubleshooting that may arise in any area.
I have a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and certificates in Paediatric first aid and up to date Enhanced DBS and am a qualified sleep consultant.
I have not renewed my Ofstead registration as I didn’t need it for my last or current role, but would be happy to become registered again if desired.
I have a full/clean driving licence.
Thank you for reading and hope to hear from you soon xx
My Experience
I’m currently on mat leave from running my sleep consultancy business.
2020-22 looking after three girls from 2-7. We do crafts, dresssing up and homework and the little one and I spend all the time we can in Lloyd park, at the toy library and at soft play.
September 2020- September 2021
My last job was near Wood Street with two children of 1 and 5. We enjoyed being out in the forest and going to playgrounds. We also love to do anything creative and imaginative. We’ve not had the chance to do many groups or anything but there has been a fair whack of homeschooling and it’s been great.
September 2018- September 2020
A job In Hackney looking after a nearly 3 year old sole charge, and a 7 year old before and after school and in the holidays (as well as pandemic home schooling). With Victoria Park right round the corner we are spoiled for outside space, groups and activities. We also love to dress up and do lots of creative activities.
Nanny (September 2016-August 2018)
As my studies increased I decided to go freelance and be an ad hoc nanny. I worked with many different families in a short and long term basis. The children were all of differing ages and needs and it was extremely rewarding to be able to help people with childcare when they most needed it.
Nanny (June 2016-September 2016) this summer have had sole charge of two little boys of 2 and 4. We have had a very active and warm summer doing lots of sports, like tennis, swimming, playball and football, as well as meeting up with as many friends and getting messy and creative.
Ad hoc nanny (July 2015-June 2016)
Working for London agencies as well as families that i have been working for all year as I have found that working ad hoc really works well with my studies
Nanny (August 2014-July 2015)
Nanny to twin 2 and a half year old boys. We liked going to the park, reading, baking and going to visit friends. I was responsible for the sole charge of the boys two days a week.
Pixies Nursery (April 2013- July 2014)
Heading up the Pre-school floor I was responsible on a day to day basis for the 3-5 year olds. My main duties were to ensure the smooth running of pre-school, making sure that there was fun an stimulating plans in the short and long term according to the curriculum. I took a lot of pride in insuring the children were progressing and challenged as well as having interesting and fun experiences. I was responsible for liaising with parents on a day to day basis, face to face, on the phone and outside agencies involved in the care of the children at the nursery. I wrote and reviewed all the Individual Education Plans for the children with Special educational needs as well as training staff on the best way to implement these.
Tinysaurus Nursery (February 2011 – April 2013)
Within a year I progressed from apprentice to assistant manager of Tinysaurus. I was responsible for the day to day and forward planning of the nursery, staff deployment and making sure the setting was giving the highest level of care to the children. I was the SENCO for the setting as well as the safeguarding representative and in charge of risk assessing the nursery on a daily basis. I made sure that all staff were following the policies and procedures and checking that all observations are done to a high standard, in line with the EYFS curriculum.

Special needs nanny (August 2010 – December 2010)
Full time nanny during working hours. I was responsible for tutoring, pastoral care, planning fun activities and outings. The little girl had a big passion for animals and we visited lots of animal rescue centers and went on long walks where we could meet dogs. We enjoyed swimming, picnics and zoo’s.
Nanny (January 2008- August 2010)
Full time nanny during working hours. I was responsible for taking one of the children to and from school daily and looking after the toddler during the day.
