Pa/Learning Support Needed For Home Ed/Eotas
About Me
We are looking to recruit one or two individuals to fulfill the roles of a Personal Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to help support our Neurodivergent family in South Tyneside - during term time and in School Holidays (children are Home Ed/EOTAS).
Support is needed to enable us to access days out together and provide activities in the home as well as 1:1 time with either child in and out of the home as required to fulfil parts of EHCP/EOTAS package. Driving will be necessary to facilitate 1:1 support out of the home.
We have two Autistic/ADHD boys aged 7 and 9, the eldest also has a PDA profile and some understanding of this is essential though training will be provided.
They both require an autonomous and low demand approach and those working with them must be able to facilitate this authentically. They love gaming, animals and lots of physical activity such as trampoline parks, swimming and soft play and will fully expect you to get involved in all of the fun stuff!
Ideal candidates will be young at heart, energetic, playful and open minded. Applications from Neurodivergent applicants are encouraged.
Our household is lively with 2 labradors.
25 hours per week are available but it is unlikely all will be required initially.
Hours can be delivered flexibly. With no starts earlier than 9.30am.
