The best nanny !

I met Helen earlier this year in January when she came in for an interview as I had been desperately seeking help with my four month old.

My first impression of this very polite, well spoken woman was also that of someone very friendly and cheerful.

I remember telling her that we struggled with settling my son for his day time naps. She asked to meet him and have a try. For us a miracle happened : our baby was in deep sleep within 5 minutes!

Helen is a very skilled nanny/ maternity nurse and she has fantastic ways with babies, I could not have hoped for a better nanny. She helped my son develop a stable sleep routine within no time, and I was also able to gain back much needed rest. Other people have called her a « baby whisperer » on her reviews and I couldn’t agree more.

My son’s development over the months with Helen was incredible. He became very sociable, more confident and a very happy baby. It was a pleasure to see them together everyday and all mothers want to be able to have their child in the best possible hands.

Weaning was made easy and fun thanks to Helen’s knowledge and cooking skills. Her food is delicious ( also for adults) and my son has enjoyed discovering various tastes with her, whether through purées or self feeding. Up to now he is not a fussy eater and will have anything.

Through Helen I also gained a lot of confidence as a first time mother. She is a great listener, with a lot of empathy and she is also a kind and generous person who looks out after others and under privileged, having helped many natives in her home country. A truly inspiring person. She is always full of good advice and knows her ways around town for kids activities and playgroups, she takes initiatives and is always in a good mood.

Seeing our son take his first steps at only 10 months old with Helen was an emotional moment for us.

Sadly we had to part ways as we are moving, and Helen is deeply missed each day. I am very grateful to have met her and that she took such great care of our boy!

Helpful and Professional

Helen helped us establish a night sleeping routine for our daughter over the course of a few weeks. She identified the key issue stopping our daughter from sleeping through the night and recommended some actions to remedy. Once we did, the nights improved greatly!!

Helen is very friendly, punctual and professional. She helpfully offered lots of tips and advice throughout and we would be keen to work with her again for babysitting.

helped me get some sleep!

Helen looked after our baby girl Adriana from 8-20 weeks old. She was very punctual, flexible with dates and timing and followed the approach and style we wanted to take. Helen genuinely cared about trying to get Adriana on a good sleep routine and always had tips to share. Helen is sweet and kind and provided the support I needed during the newborn stage 😊

Hugely experienced, knowledgeable, caring, support

Helen came to us when our daughter was 5 weeks old; initially just to do 3 nights a week to give us a little more sleep and ideally get our daughter into some good sleep habits. Almost 7 months later, Helen still does those 3 nights but also 3 days and additional babysitting when required. To say she has become a member of the family is an understatement! I jokingly tell her we co-parent my daughter but the truth is, we pretty much do. Helen has played an absolutely key role in establishing a wonderful day and night routine in which my daughter thrives - she now consistently sleeps 12 hours a night; sometimes more. She has held my hand and guided me every step of the way from the early months of breastfeeding, transitioning to formula and now onto weaning where she has hand cooked all my daughter's meals and filled the freezer for the days she is not with us. She kept us calm when my daughter had a bad reaction to her first vaccinations, nursed her through her first cold, expertly administered medication we needed to give for a particular condition and showed me the tricks to do so, and even packs everything my daughter needs when we go away. She is caring, loving and gentle with my daughter but mindful not to be overindulgent thereby ensuring my daughter is not clingy. She has boundless energy to engage and entertain her and can make a game or toy out of anything in the home! She is 100% supportive and positive and always ready with advice and guidance drawing on her vast experience as a mother and nanny over several years. She is totally reliable; never having missed a day or night in her time us and we have given her keys to our home without a second thought. We will be devastated to part company with her when we move overseas and could not recommend her highly enough to any other family who will unquestionably find her an asset to treasure.

Magician at sleep training

I had terrible problems getting my daughter to stay sleeping in her cot so I started working with Helen. I was very concerned about some of the methods that were used and specifically did not want the "Cry it out" method. Helen was literally a magician. She had my daughter sleeping in a cot from Day 1 with no crying. There was the odd wimper, however Helen comforted her and she was back to sleep. Helen has worked for me on and off for 7 months and I have found her to warm, loving, honest and hard working. I would highly recommend her, particularly with young babies.
